It’s always a good day to buy LEGOs. Yesterday, The Canvas Don dropped new “Mystery Packs” through his website. There are 12 possible minifigs, but you don’t know what you get until you open them. We’re expecting strong collector interest, especially in the four unrevealed characters that the Don has been teasing. Will they resell? We sure hope so. Let’s take a closer look.

The Canvas Don Mystery Packs

First, let’s do a little background. If you haven’t heard of him, The Canvas Don is an artist primarily known for his unofficial LEGO reproductions of popular rappers and hip-hop artists.

We covered his Travis Scott “Astro Scott” collectable figurines and cereal boxes a few months ago, and resellers are very familiar with his work. He’s prolific, well-attuned, and has built a sizable following that pays close attention to his releases.

Yesterday morning, the Don dropped a new product on his online store. These are “Mystery Packs“, a collection of 12 custom minifigs based on rappers.

It looks like the Mystery Pack Volume 1 will include Kanye, two versions of Kendrick Lamar, MF DOOM, Mac Miller, Lil Uzi Vert, Tyler the Creator and Frank Ocean. Additionally, four secret characters have been teased, but their identities are not confirmed.

Based on the silhouettes, we’re guessing the Mystery Pack secret minifigs are Juice WRLD, either Future or Trippie Redd, XXXTentacion, and another winged version of Travis Scott.

The Canvas Don’s Mystery Packs are $30. Each pack comes with one minifig selected at random. They were available until midnight on Friday, and then gone for good.

The Canvas Don LEGO Mystery Packs Resell

Well, it’s still early, and we haven’t seen any confirmed sales yet. It’ll probably be a few days before we see any sort of serious market emerge from these.

But we’re pretty optimistic. Like we said, The Canvas Don’s stuff tends to well on eBay. We’ve seen his past minifigs and mini sets resell for as $150. This Mystery Pack includes similar minifigs to some of his most popular releases from the past.

And it’s possible the Don might release more information on minifig rarities that might skew the market. Hypothetically, if he were to reveal that some of the mystery minifigs were much rarer than the other options, it would likely boost the market for those figures and the Packs in general.

But that’s speculation. We’ll just to need to wait and see how things shake out. We’re confident they’ll be profitable for resellers, but we won’t know just how profitable until the market develops.
