Cady Heron Bratz dolls restocked on Wednesday
They were $60 and limited to one per customer
Resellers are flipping them for up to $150
You can never have too much of a good thing. Last year, we covered Bratz’ popular Mean Girls collection, and paid close attention to how fast the dolls sold out. Both collectors and resellers have been clamoring for a restock, and their wishes came true this week. MGA started listing their Cady Heron Bratz dolls for sale, and once again they reappeared on eBay within minutes of selling out. Let’s get started.
Before we begin, we just want to say a quick hello to any members of the Bratz subreddit that are reading this article. We know you love us, and the feeling is mutual.
So what’s going on? A few months ago, Bratz launched their Mean Girls collection. The dolls were sold in three drops: Cady Heron first, then Regina George, and then Gretchen and Karen as a two-pack.
The entire collection was a massive hit with collectors, and the Cady Heron dolls were especially coveted. As the first and most important doll in the collection, the initial release drop was hit hard by resellers that took a significant portion of the stock.
The $60 dolls were quickly listed on eBay for over $300. Despite how much Bratz collectors complained about resellers, it seems like they didn’t have any issues paying us five times the dolls’ MSRP.
Of course, things slowed down in time. The early highs dipped down to around $150, and then hovered at around $120. Still plenty profitable, and both collectors and resellers were waiting for any news on restock.
And that news came last month. MGA confirmed a limited number of Cady Heron Bratz dolls would be restocking online, this time limited to one per customer. Not great news for resellers, but it wouldn’t be enough to keep us from trying.
Following Wednesday’s restock, Bratz Mean Girls Cady Heron dolls are reselling for around $150 with plenty of volume. After fees, resellers stood to net around $80 or so in profit.
That’s certainly good enough for us. Sure, it would have been nice to grab a full cart of these and really go to town, but some lunch money and positive eBay feedback is always a good thing.
We’ll be keeping our eyes on MGA’s socials in the future to see if more Mean Girls restocks are on the way. The Cady Heron dolls were definitely the most popular, but we saw plenty of interest for Regina George and the Gretchen & Karen 2-pack. Don’t hesitate to jump on them in the future.
And if you want to stay informed on these restocks or all the other products worth reselling, make sure you subscribe to our newsletter. We cover the latest drops and easiest profits, but you won’t hear about any of it if you’re not subscribed.
