Key Points

  • Stanley has revealed their Barbie “Legendary Eight” tumbler collection

  • Eight new designs will drop over five days for $60 each

  • Similar products have flipped for hundreds in the past

Well, summer is almost over, but there’s still enough time for one last Stanley drop. They’ve teamed up with Mattel to produce a new line of eight tumblers for Barbie’s 65th anniversary. Each day, new tumblers will be available for sale through Stanley’s website. Once they’re sold out, they’re gone for good. Resellers have made tons of money flipping Stanley in 2024, and this drop is just one more opportunity to secure some easy cash. Let’s get into

Stanley Barbie Legendary Eight Collection

It’s been more than a year since the release of the Barbie movie, and Mattel is still milking it for every last drop. We’ve covered all kinds of Barbie merch, from popcorn buckets to hoodies, and even a fully functional Barbie flip phone dropping next month.

And now we’ve got another major collection. Stanley and Mattel are partnering on a set of exclusive tumblers based on Barbie’s legacy. Designs draw from milestone releases and individual decades, along with a whole lot of pink.

There are eight tumblers in Stanley’s new Barbie collection. At least one will be released every day from September 16 to September 20. The Legendary Eight collection includes:

  • Barbie Icon: Sept. 16
  • 1959 Original: Sept. 17
  • 60s Twist ‘n’ Turn: Sept. 17
  • 70s Superstar: Sept. 18
  • 80s Peaches ‘n’ Cream: Sept 19
  • 90s Rockers: Sept. 19
  • 80s Western Ken: Sept. 20

To purchase a tumbler from the Stanley Barbie Legendary Eight collection, you’ll need to head over to Stanley’s site on the tumbler’s release date. The tumblers go live each day at 9 A.M. Pacific. Most of them are 40oz tumblers available for $60, while a 30oz version of “Barbie Icon” will be sold for $50. You will also be able to buy the entire collection at once for $480 on September 10.

The collection is already picking up attention on social media. Barbie merch has been big business since the movie’s release, and Stanley is probably the most on-the-nose collaboration the brand could have picked.

Stanley’s “Legendary Eight” are looking like a profitable flip. We recommend prioritizing the “Barbie Icon” and “80s Western Ken” Stanley tumblers, as these will likely be the most popular. Check out Stanley’s site for more details on the other designs, and see what you think will flip.

Will Barbie Stanley Tumblers Resell?

Probably. Unless you’ve spent the last year on an oil rig, you should’ve seen how crazy people have been going for Barbie merch. Stanley getting in on the fun makes this more or less a no-brainer for most resellers.

Here’s an example. Earlier this year, Stanley and Starbucks released a limited edition pink tumbler. They had a Starbucks logo on them, they were pink, and that’s pretty much it. Resellers were able to flip them for as much as $200 at their peak.

And that’s just for a pink tumbler. The upcoming “Barbie Icon” Stanley tumblers are the same thing, expect produced in even smaller numbers and the endorsement of the current it-brand, Barbie. Expect to see decent sales for at least the two tumblers we mentioned, and potentially more for the rest.

In fact, a limited number of “Barbie Icon” tumblers were sold at Stanley’s NYC pop-up. These have already hit eBay and are flipping for around $100 right now.

Now there’s just a few weeks left until an entirely new load of stock hits Stanley’s store. There will be plenty of people that miss out on this collection, and we’ve already seen it resell.
