Fender Announces Made-to-Order Pac-Man Telecasters

The Limited Edition Fender x PAC-MAN Player II Telecaster is built on Fender’s Player II Telecaster platform with extensive PAC-MAN theming throughout. The body features the classic maze design with PAC-MAN chomping through, surrounded by Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde in hot pursuit.

The strongest data point in favor of this collab is what happened with Fender’s other big 2026 anniversary release. We covered the Kith x Fender Stratocaster when it dropped May 1, and those guitars have since reappeared on eBay for up to $11,000 off a $1,600 retail.

That’s a remarkable ceiling, though it’s worth noting those were a standard retail drop with limited supply, while the PAC-MAN Telecaster is built to order with no stated quantity cap.

That distinction matters. Fender’s “limited edition” framing here likely means they’ll accept orders for a window of a few weeks and then close them permanently, rather than producing a fixed run of, say, 500 units. If that’s the case, total supply will be determined by how many people ordered in that window, which could be anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand.

This is a high-stakes play. No returns means you are fully committed the moment you order. If the secondary market doesn’t show up, you are sitting on a $1,099 instrument.

The built-to-order model also works against scarcity in a way that a limited production run wouldn’t. Until we know how many of these were actually ordered before the window closes, it’s difficult to predict where secondary market prices land.

One more thing: these ship in mid-August. You’ll be holding for months before you can relist, which adds uncertainty about where the market is by the time you can sell.
