Key Points

  • Multiple 2025 calendars available now including Nightmare Before Christmas, Lilo & Stitch, Marvel, Disney Princess, and Universal Monsters

  • Prices hover around $40 retail across different retailers

  • Calendars include either 24 Pocket Pop figures (around 2 inches tall) or 24 Bitty Pop figures (around 0.9 inches tall) plus accessories and display pieces

Funko just dropped their 2025 lineup of advent calendars featuring Disney, Marvel, Universal monsters, and more. These seasonal collectibles are available now at Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Funko’s site, with prices ranging from around $40 depending on the calendar. If you’re considering grabbing these for resale, there’s some history worth knowing.

What's Available?

Nightmare Before Christmas Countdown Calendar features 24 Pocket Pop figures of Halloween Town characters like Santa Jack, Zero, Oogie Boogie, and Vampire Teddy. This one’s currently in stock at Amazon, Walmart, and Funko.

Lilo & Stitch Holiday Advent Calendar includes 10 Bitty Pop collectibles, seven stackable display pieces, three holiday accessories, and cases for keychains and pins.

Marvel Countdown Calendar has a similar setup with 10 Bitty Pop figures, display pieces, and accessories featuring various Marvel characters.

Disney Princess Countdown Calendar follows the same format with princesses and accessories.

Universal Monsters 13-Day Calendar is a shorter run with 13 Pocket Pop figures of classic creatures like Frankenstein, Dracula, and The Grabber. Available at Walmart, Funko, and Amazon.

Funko also restocked older favorites from Harry Potter, NFL, Pixar, Pokemon, Star Wars, and The Office.

Are They Worth Buying?

Seasonal advent calendars have been profitable for resellers in recent years, particularly limited or exclusive versions. Sephora’s makeup kits have been extremely lucrative for resellers, while Macy’s recently rolled out a lipstick advent calendar that’s already flipping

The key factor is timing and scarcity. Calendars that sell out at retail in October or November create secondary market demand as the holidays approach. After the season ends, they become harder to find and can appreciate for collectors who want complete sets.

Not every advent calendar flips. Mass-produced versions that stay in stock through December don’t create urgency. Funko produces a lot of these, and most retailers carry them. Right now, most of the 2025 calendars are widely available across multiple sites.

The best performers are usually exclusive versions or calendars from brands with dedicated collector bases. Pokemon and LEGO have proven track records. Funko calendars can work, but it depends on the specific license and how quickly they sell through at retail.

If you’re buying these to resell, the risk is relatively low at $40 retail, but the upside depends entirely on whether they sell out before the holidays. Buying now and holding through late November or early December is the typical play, assuming retail stock depletes.
