Elden Ring Nightreign Collector's Editions are Up for Sale

FromSoftware has confirmed that their upcoming game Elden Ring Nightreign will be releasing in May, and has revealed their full set of collector’s editions. While gamers are excited for their chance to play the game, resellers are taking a close look at this launch. Elden Ring Collector’s Editions were some of the most profitable video game flips we’ve covered, but the recent DLC rollout was overproduced and underperformed. Let’s see if these are worth buying.

It’s almost time, gamers. If you’re a FromSoft fan, you’ve probably heard all about Elden Ring Nightreign. The closed network test will be running this weekend, giving fans an early view at the game’s systems and setting.

Interest is quite strong, and we’ve actually seen people reselling their network test download codes for up to $60 at a time. Bandai Namco has kicked their marketing into high gear this week, revealing a new trailer and release date for the game.

Elden Ring Nightreign will release on May 30, 2025, just over three years after the launch of the first game. Featuring a remixed version of 2022’s Game of the Year, this is looking like a promising but strange production by FromSoft.

And as is typical for a major video game release, Elden Ring Nightreign will be getting a collector’s edition. Gamers will be able to take home a physical copy of the game and pass to post-launch DLC, alongside a collectable figure of Wylder.

Also included is a physical artbook, eight “Nightfarer” tarot cards, a download code for the game’s soundtrack, exclusive SteelBook case, and a collector’s box to display the game and statue.

The Elden Ring Nightreign Collector’s Edition is $200 and available for preorder from Bandai Namco’s website right now. It can be purchased for PC, Xbox, or PlayStation.

Well, that really depends on who’s asking. If you just want to buy something for your gamer shelf, have at it. But resellers are interested in this collection for entirely different reasons; namely, if they can profit from it.

While it’s true that Elden Ring Collector’s Editions were extremely profitable, sometimes selling for nearly $1,000 at a time, Bandai has taken notice of the IP’s success and milked it hard.

When we covered the Elden Ring DLC Collector’s Editions, we noted that their production was massively increased compared to the base game, with each edition being doubled or possibly tripled in size from the original.

That’s great for Bandai’s bottom line, but it really hurts resellers looking to make a profit. Elden Ring DLC Collector’s Editions remained in stock until the release of the DLC. They’re currently reselling for about $200, less than they retailed for.

So we recommend being very cautious about this drop. If you choose to preorder, Bandai will charge your card immediately, although you can cancel for a full refund ahead of the release date.

And we’ll teach you a little trick to monitor stock numbers. Head to Bandai’s webstore, and play with the quantity limits. Start high, around 10,000, and pay attention to the error message you receive. Keep lowering the requested quantity until the message changes from “we don’t have enough” to “you are exceeding the quantity limit”.

Once you’ve found that number, you can tell how much stock Bandai currently has allocated on the backend. That might not show the actual production numbers, but it’s a good way to track demand and sales numbers.
