Vice Golf Reveals Ultra-Limited Line of VGD01+ Drivers

These probably won't be available for long

Key Points

  • Five special edition VGD01+ drivers retail for $549 each, a $100 premium over the standard version

  • Only 100 units of each colorway are being produced, for a total of 500 drivers worldwide

  • No secondary market data exists yet, and these are almost certainly final sale with no returns

Vice Golf has built a following selling performance clubs at direct-to-consumer prices, but its latest drop leans hard into the visual side of things. Five limited edition VGD01+ drivers go live on the Vice website tomorrow, each capped at 100 units and dressed in designs that can only be described as aggressively unhinged. The builds are identical to Vice’s flagship driver under the skin. If you’ve been eyeing the golf equipment resale market for an entry point, this is worth knowing about — but there’s real risk here and you should go in with your eyes open.

Vice Golf VGD01+ Special Edition Release

The special editions are the same VGD01+ Vice has been selling for the past year — same carbon crown, same titanium face, same adjustable loft and lie system — wrapped in five very different exteriors. Each comes with a matching custom shaft and headcover.

The colorways revealed are Terra Strike: olive and burnt orange camo head and a topographic map print on the headcover, Night Strike: matte black blasted with yellow and pink neon, Deep Strike: navy and teal with a gradient shaft. Stars and Strikes: red, white, and blue, and the Spectrum Strike: holographic purple-teal-gold finish that shifts in the light.

All five are available in 9- and 10.5-degree lofts with R or S flex shafts.

Will These Clubs Resell?

What makes this worth watching: 100 units per colorway is genuinely scarce for a golf club. Limited edition drivers from brands like COBRA have flipped above retail before, and a hard supply cap of 500 total worldwide gives these a real shot at secondary market interest.

The risk is equally real. Vice is not Titleist or TaylorMade. There is no established secondary market for Vice Golf equipment and no sold listings to tell you what the ceiling actually looks like. This is early-stage speculation, not a proven flip.

The return situation compounds the risk. Vice’s standard clubs advertise a 60-day trial, but special editions almost certainly won’t qualify, and Vice’s customer service reputation makes returns difficult in practice regardless. Treat this as final sale. If you buy one and it doesn’t move, you own a $549 driver.

Bottom Line

The drivers hit the Vice Golf website tomorrow. With only 100 units per colorway and essentially no coverage beyond a single MyGolfSpy article, it’s hard to predict how fast these will go.

Keep this on the radar, but don’t go all in. The supply constraints are real, the designs are distinct enough to attract collectors, and Vice has a following in the value golf space. Without resell comps and with an effectively nonexistent return policy, the downside is real too. If you can absorb a $549 loss on a driver you’d actually use, the upside is there. If not, this one probably isn’t for you.
