Key Points

  • A limited number of autographed Tom Brady cards were sold yesterday

  • Prices ranged from $1,629 to $2,729

  • Beck has been canceling orders from resellers, meaning a restock is likely

Yesterday, the artist Tyson Beck dropped a new collection of trading cards based on Tom Brady. Several different variants were available, and all cards were autographed by Brady himself. There was even an extremely limited meet and greet package for sale at the same time. This was a massively hyped event, and everything sold out very fast. That said, there might be a silver lining here. Tyson Beck has said he intends to cancel orders to bots and resellers, which means more cards will appear for sale soon.

Tom Brady Autographed Cards

Alright, first, let’s go over the players. You may have heard of Tom Brady already. Big star, known for throwing a football around. And while today Brady’s name goes hand in hand with the Patriots, did you know he was originally drafted to play in the MLB?

Stuff with Brady’s face, name, and especially autograph go for big bucks. We’re guessing you know that already.

If you’re not big into cards, you might not be familiar with Tyson Beck. He’s an Australian artist that’s been making waves in the recent years for his trading card designs. Instead of working for established brands like Topps and Panini, Beck makes deals directly with stars to produce some seriously eye-catching designs.

Tyson Beck has collaborated with players like Dennis Rodman, Allen Iverson, and Tyreek Hill, and yesterday’s drop with Tom Brady is looking like one of his biggest.

What cards are in the Tyson Beck Tom Brady Collab?

There are five different designs for this drop. All of them are signed, and all of them are quite expensive. Most of the cards from the Tom Brady Tyson Beck collab cost $1,629.

Depending on which design you bought, there could be between 2 to 4 different variants which differing rarities. The variant you’d receive is random.

For the truly devoted fan, there were a (very) limited number of cards that included the opportunity to meet Tom Brady in person. More on that in a second.

Tyson Beck Tom Brady "Comic" Card

There are a total of 75 different “Comic” Tom Brady cards in three different variants.

Tyson Beck Tom Brady Meet and Greet

In addition to the four cards we talked about previously, there was an additional part of the collaboration. Just 12 cards in an alternate “Comic” design were produced and sold for $2,729.

Not only were the designs special, but these also came with the an exclusive meet and greet opportunity with Tom Brady in Melbourne.

Tyson Beck Cancels Orders

Most collectors, resellers, and really most people could understand this would be a big drop. Limited edition cards with huge star’s name on it? Tyson Beck’s cards have been extremely popular lately, and most of them sell out pretty fast.

But that’s not cool, apparently. After the Tom Brady collection sold out yesterday morning, Tyson Beck went on a tear on social media calling out bots and resellers.

And it doesn’t stop with mean words either, because Beck has apparently been cancelling orders deemed botted. Additionally, there’s a clear warning on the site to not resell it. Most resellers are waiting to list their cards until they actually get them in-hand.

If what Beck is saying is actually true, then that means that a huge restock of Tom Brady autographed cards is on the way. 230+ canceled orders is a huge chunk of the cards in circulation. Maybe Beck will lower the price a bit so the new cards will go to the hands of dedicated fans?

Or maybe he’ll just dump the new batch for sale at the same price and let people do what they want. The whole “I hate resellers” song and dance gets a little old when you’re listing collectibles for $1,500 plus. Oh well, live and let live, and we all like to do a little posturing when we get the chance.
