  • 2026 Topps Series 1 Baseball releases February 11, 2026 with Hobby boxes at $100

  • The 350-card base set features veterans, 30 rookies, Future Stars, League Leaders, and team cards

Sit down, take a deep breath, and smell the air. You can just barely taste the wafting aromas of beer, hot dogs, and sweaty leather. Baseball’s opening day is getting nearer by the day, which means Topps is rolling out new cards for collectors to fight over. In a surprise announcement today, they revealed Jerry Seinfeld would be contributed signed cards to the collection as an honorary New York Met. Expect to see sky-high prices for these autos.

The base set includes 350 cards featuring MLB stars, rookies, Future Stars, League Leaders, and team cards. The 2026 design features a jersey-inspired look with stitching and fabric-style graphics running along the left edge. Topps has created a multi-generational hobby box cover featuring Hank Aaron, Ken Griffey Jr., Aaron Judge, and Shohei Ohtani to bridge past, present, and future.

Topps 2026 Baseball Series 1 Cards

Hobby boxes retail for $99.99 and include 20 packs of 12 cards each, with one autograph or relic per box. Jumbo boxes cost $199.99 and contain 10 packs of 40 cards each, guaranteeing one autograph and one relic card. Additional formats include Mega boxes ($49.99), Value Blasters ($24.99), Hangers, Tins, Super Boxes, and a Japan edition with exclusive Cherry Blossom parallels.

The Silver Pack program returns for Hobby customers, adding bonus packs with Chrome technology cards featuring MLB veterans, rookies, and retired greats on chrome stock with numbered autographs and parallels.

Topps 2026 Baseball Autographs

Autographs are spread across multiple insert series. Flagship Real One Autographs features 48 cards with on-card signatures from rookies and current stars across seven parallel versions from /99 Green Foil to 1/1 Foilfractors. The massive 1991 Topps Baseball Autographs subset includes 185 cards with colored parallels and Chrome versions found exclusively in Silver Pack box toppers.

Perhaps the most interesting additions are genuine Jerry Seinfeld autographs. He’s been signing cards as an honorary New York Met, and at this point the team will take all the help they can get.

Last year, Topps tapped Larry David for a similar promotional stunt, and those cards are reselling for upwards of $3,000. Keep an eye out for Seinfeld’s signature if you’re ripping packs.

Relic Cards

Major League Materials features jersey swatches from 87 current players with multiple parallel versions. City Connect Swatch Collection returns with cuts from special-edition City Connect uniforms, exclusive to Hobby and Jumbo boxes. Flagship Real One Relics use the base design with jersey pieces from 80 players. The 1991 Topps Baseball Relics deliver 91 players including stars from the past.

The toughest relic pulls are In The Name Relics, which are 1/1 cards featuring actual nameplate letters from game-worn jerseys.

Bottom Line

Topps 2026 Series 1 delivers the full flagship experience collectors expect: deep base set, massive parallel rainbow, stacked autograph content, and creative inserts celebrating the brand’s 75-year history. The Jerry Seinfeld inclusion adds mainstream buzz that could bring new collectors into the hobby, while traditional baseball content remains the core focus.

Release day is February 11 with presales already sold out through Topps.com and major retailers. Whether you’re building sets, chasing rookies, hunting anniversary hits, or just want to pull a Jerry Seinfeld autograph, Series 1 remains the cornerstone baseball card release that kicks off each collecting season.
