Scalpers Score Sabrina Carpenter's Pink Champagne Vinyl

Bad World marketed this as one of their Albums of the Year, featuring carbonated “pink champagne” liquid-filled vinyl with exclusive cork center labels and an alternate sleeve design. The presentation alone made collectors salivate, but the tiny quantity made resellers move fast.

The queue opened at noon PST and quickly ballooned into the tens of thousands. By 12:18, every one of the 5,000 Pink Champagne vinyl records had sold. We didn’t expect these to last long, but this was still a remarkably quick sale.

Now fans are pissed. Social media’s flooded with collectors calling out resellers, and the secondary market’s already heating up. The same pattern we’ve seen with every major Sabrina drop since “Short n’ Sweet” last year.

Liquid-filled vinyl has become a profitable gimmick in the last few years. We’ve covered unique offerings from Mötley Crüe, Miller Lite, and even a tear-injected record from Fall Out Boy. Just like Sabrina’s these sold out fast and became highly lucrative flips

eBay’s already seeing active listings in the $250 to $300 range. Most sellers are pricing around $275, which works out to roughly 4-5X retail after currency conversion. A few optimistic resellers are testing $350+ asking prices, but those haven’t moved yet.

The vinyl won’t ship until April 3, 2026, which means these are all presale flips. Resellers are banking on Carpenter’s massive fanbase and the ultra-limited quantity to justify the premium. Based on sold data from her previous exclusive variants, they’re probably right.

Carpenter’s momentum right now is insane. “Espresso” was Spotify’s most-streamed track in 2024, and “Man’s Best Friend” dropped in August 2025 following her Grammy-winning “Short n’ Sweet” project. Her signed vinyl variants from last year flipped for double retail within days, and we documented sellers making $150-$200 per order on those. This pink champagne variant has even more exclusivity.

The fan anger is real but predictable. Carpenter’s audience skews young and passionate, which creates two opposing forces: collectors who’ll pay anything to complete their collection, and fans who resent the secondary market entirely. The latter group posts threads about how much they hate resellers, but the former group keeps paying whatever it takes. We’ve seen this exact dynamic play out with Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and basically every major female pop artist with a vinyl-collecting fanbase.

Prices will probably stay in this $250-$300 range through January. There’s no competing drops scheduled, and FOMO is maxed out since this was a one-time release. Resellers who secured copies can list confidently knowing supply is fixed at 5,000 units.

This was a final sale item with absolutely no refunds or returns offered. With four months remaining until these ship, it’s a bit of a risk for a resellers that snagged one. Technically, eBay only allows presale listings for items that can be shipped within 40 days, but most resellers are ignoring that restriction.

Chances are there will be no restocks for the “Man’s Best Friend” pink champagne vinyl. These were marketed as a deliberately limited tie-in with New Year’s Eve, so we’d be very surprised to see them come back.

That said, the tremendous backlash against resellers could motivate Carpenter’s team to produce a similar variant in larger numbers. That shouldn’t affect the market for the pink champagne vinyl though, and it just gives resellers and Sabrina another opportunity to milk her fanbase.

If you copped at retail, congratulations. The $250-$300 range is solid profit, but this has room to run if the album continues performing well. Just keep in mind that eBay requires you to be able to ship your item within 40 days, and vindictive fans have been known to report listings that violate the policy.
