Books-a-Million is selling signed copies of Rebecca Yarros’ “The Last Letter”
They are available for $33
Some of Yarros’ other signed books have flipped for hundreds
You might already recognize bestselling author Rebecca Yarros, whose “Empyrean” series has been dominating charts and BookTok for years. Recent autographed releases have been a huge hit among fans and resellers, and Yarros has re-released one of her earlier books with an author’s signature. This is a great chance to pick up Rebecca Yarros’ autograph, which we’ve seen resell for hundreds of dollars.
We’ve got a pretty simple flip for you today. If you’ve wandered anywhere near BookTok in the last few years, you’re probably very familiar with the name Rebecca Yarros. Her novels “Iron Flame” and “Fourth Wing” are bestsellers among the grown-up-but-still-reading-YA crowd online.
But before she rocketed to fame, Yarros published several other novels. One of these is “The Last Letter“, a tragic-romantic piece of military fiction inspired by Yarros life while her husband was deployed in Afghanistan.
The book was originally published in 2019, well before her current star author status. Now that Yarros has become a household name, her new fans are looking back in her catalogue for titles they might’ve missed.
And like any smart businesswoman, Rebecca Yarros is capitalizing on the opportunity. She’s recently with Books-a-Million to produce a limited number of signed copies of “The Last Letter”. These hardcover editions are available now for $33.
If you’re looking to pick one up (or five), here’s your chance. These books were first listed for sale on May 21, and as of this publication they’re still available.
Is it worth it? If you’re a fan or Yarros’ writing, probably. Resellers have a different angle though, and it usually boils down to how much profit they can squeeze out of an item.
Here’s what we can say. There is some interest in signed copies of “The Last Letter”. At least one has sold on eBay for $80, but this was well before this latest restock.
Considering that signed copies of “The Last Letter” are still available for retail prices, we’re not surprised to see a booming market for these. It’ll take some time for the available stock to sell out and then hopefully sales will begin rolling in.
But we have seen Rebecca Yarros’ signature resell for impressive prices. The aforementioned “Iron Flame” was a particular favorite for resellers, with signed books usually flipping for around $150 with some significant outlier sales.
It’s unclear and fairly unlikely that signed copies of “The Last Letter” will hit these highs. Still, confirmed sales well above retail is a good sign, and indicative of Yarros’ star power as an author. Consider picking one of these up if you’re looking for something to flip.
