Key Points

  • Nike is releasing a collab with Costco, featuring their iconic hot dog on the shoe’s insole

  • Retail price has been confirmed at $135 and scheduled to launch soon

  • Nike SB brand collabs average $560 resale on StockX, with pop culture partnerships selling for 3 to 5 times retail based on historical data.

Alright, this thing better come in a 6-pack. Nike SB dropped official images today of their Kirkland Signature collab, and it’s exactly as ridiculous as the leaks suggested. The entire shoe is covered in grey fleece from those $14 Kirkland crewnecks, complete with a hidden hot dog graphic under the insole. These are scheduled for a 2025 Holiday launch, and sneakerheads are losing it.

Nike X Kirkland Signature Shoes

We’ll take the words from former Costco CEO Jim Sinegal: “Raise the price on the f*cking hot dog and I’ll kill you”. These dogs are no laughing matter, and Costco’s spent blood, sweat, and tears to keep them at their current price. If you’ve ever chowed down on one, salute the current (and former) management for their dedication to beating inflation.

Costco has teamed with Nike to capitalize on the memes with an all-new SB dunk low featuring the dog that’s scheduled to hit stores later this year, and the viral attention is already pouring in.

The details show Nike went all in. Grey fleece covers the entire upper, matching those iconic Kirkland crewnecks. The heel has a Kirkland Signature box logo like it was ripped from a toilet paper package. The tongue features cursive “skateboarding” text instead of standard Nike SB branding. And that $1.50 hot dog graphic references Costco’s legendary loss leader that hasn’t changed price since 1984.

Nike Hot Dog Costco Insole

There’s more than memes here. Kirkland’s cheap tees and grey sweatshirts have been skate community favorites for years because of their durability and low price. Skaters actually wear this stuff, which gives this collab legitimacy beyond the jokes.

Today’s official images revealed changes from earlier samples. The price tag that was on the inner tongue is gone. The accessory package now includes a hangtag designed like a Costco Executive membership card (the highest tier), custom insoles, five lace options, and special blue and red Costco-branded wrapping paper.

Some people think $135 is too expensive for anything Kirkland. But as one Redditor explained: “It’s not a Kirkland product, it’s a Nike product with Kirkland branding.” These are premium Nike SB skateboarding shoes with Zoom Air cushioning, not actual Kirkland house brand items.

Standard Nike SB Dunk Low collabs average $560 on StockX. Pop culture collabs like this typically hit 3 to 5 times retail. At $135 retail, a conservative 2 to 3x multiplier puts these at $270 to $405 resale. Given the meme potential and social media buzz, they could push $400 to $500 in the first weeks.

Nike SB Dunk Low Collab on StockX

After StockX fees at 12%, you’re looking at roughly $100 to $305 profit per pair depending on timing and size. The viral factor here is massive. Instagram and Reddit are already freaking out, with people demanding an Executive member version in black and gold or joking these should cost $50 with the membership covering the rest.

Distribution details are still coming. Nike SNKRS and Nike SB skate shops will carry these during Holiday 2025 (October through December). Costco locations might stock them, but that’s unconfirmed. Having a Costco membership ready couldn’t hurt.

The fleece material might be more fashion than function for actual skating. Nike SNKRS typically allows 30-day returns, but skate shop purchases might be final sale. Know your refund policy before buying purely to flip.

The Bottom Line

This has all the markers of a viral hit. Weird enough to generate massive social media buzz, legitimate enough that sneakerheads will actually want it, and backed by Nike SB’s proven track record of food collabs becoming grails. At $135 retail with potential to flip for $350 to $500, the profit margin justifies the risk if you can secure pairs.

Watch for official drop dates and set those SNKRS notifications. When a collab this absurd drops, it usually sells out fast.
