Kith's Sopranos Capsule is a Hit on eBay

This marks Kith’s second Sopranos collaboration with HBO after the 2022 release, and it’s part of Kith’s Mondays series. The collection featured everything from varsity jackets and hoodies to Zippo lighters and ceramic mugs, all decked out with imagery from the iconic HBO series.

Michael Imperioli fronted the campaign, glaring into the camera for photos that showed off pieces like the Cleaver graphic tee and the black-and-red Bada Bing varsity jacket.

Kith dropped the full lineup across its stores in New York, London, and Paris at 11 AM local time, plus online and through the Kith app.

The offering included Kith’s signature silhouettes like the Varsity Jacket, Nelson Hoodie, Nelson Crewneck, and Vintage Tees, all featuring custom artwork pulled from show scenes and characters including Adriana, Paulie, Carmela, and Christopher. Graphics paid homage to Satriale’s pork store and the Bada Bing strip club.

The resale action started immediately after the drop. Vintage tees that retailed for $70 are consistently moving for $150 on platforms like eBay and Grailed. After eBay’s 13% fees, that’s roughly $61 profit per shirt if you copped at retail.

Hoodies and longsleeves are where the better margins showed up. Pieces that retailed between $170-190 are fetching up to $300 on the secondary market. The Nelson Hoodies in particular are seeing strong demand, with the character-focused designs performing better than the simpler logo pieces.

The $700 Varsity Jacket sold out fast but hasn’t hit the secondary market in significant numbers yet, likely because flippers are holding to see if prices climb higher. Based on previous Kith x HBO drops, premium outerwear pieces like this tend to appreciate over time rather than spike immediately.

The collection benefited from Kith’s broader Kithmas lineup, which included collaborations with the Yankees (modeled by Jason Alexander), Clarks (with Ghostface Killah and Raekwon), and others. The year-end hype cycle helped drive traffic to the Monday Program drop.

Accessories like the brass Zippo lighters ($55 retail) and ceramic mugs also sold through, though resale margins on these are tighter. The real money was in apparel, specifically pieces that balanced wearability with recognizable Sopranos imagery.

Short-term outlook is stable. Prices on tees and hoodies should hold through the holidays as gift buyers hit the secondary market. Expect some softening in January as post-holiday spending drops off.

The Varsity Jacket is the wildcard. At $700 retail, it’s a significant investment, but Kith’s premium outerwear has historically performed well on the secondary market. If you copped one, holding for 6-12 months could pay off better than a quick flip.

This wasn’t a massive payday, but it was a clean double-up opportunity if you knew which pieces to target. The tees offer quick $60-80 flips after fees, while hoodies and longsleeves provide $100+ margins. Not lifechanging money, but definitely worth hitting the drop if you were already planning to be up at 11 AM.
