Kalshi is Giving Away Free Groceries to New Yorkers Tomorrow

Between layoffs, the rising threat of AI automation to American jobs, and overall steady decline in quality of life, it’s getting harder and harder to get ahead in this economy, especially in an expensive city like NYC.

Kalshi, a leading online prediction market, is proud to step in and offer a helping hand by pledging to cover grocery bills to anyone that walks through the doors at Westside Market tomorrow. Up to $50 per customer can be claimed, although it’s unclear if this will exclude certain items like alcohol or tobacco (you know, the essentials.)

If you’re in NYC, you can show up tomorrow at noon ET to try and get in, although we’d expect a line. Westside Market is located at 84 3rd Ave, NYC.

Kalshi will also be educating shoppers about the wide, wide world of prediction markets by showcasing ongoing bets, and hopefully indoctrinating a new wave of saps to gamble on grocery prices, presidential elections, and “Will the U.S. confirm that aliens exist before 2027?”

It almost makes you wonder why gambling was so tightly regulated for so many years if it’s so much fun.
