The Jakks Pacific Tikal figure retails for around $11 and is currently in stock at GameStop online
Sold comps on eBay are running $35 to $40 per unit, with active asks pushing higher
At those margins, a reseller clearing five units walks away with over $100 in net profit
Tikal has never had the easiest time getting figure releases, and Sonic fans know it. The echidna mystic from Sonic Adventure has been largely absent from Jakks Pacific’s lineup for years, so when she finally showed up as part of the 35th anniversary Wave 24 collection, demand was waiting. Sellers who got there early are already moving units, and the math works cleanly enough that this one does not require much deliberation.
The Jakks Pacific Sonic 35th Anniversary Tikal figure is a four-inch scale action figure with 11 points of articulation and a Master Emerald accessory. It is part of Wave 24 of Jakks’ ongoing Sonic line, which also includes Chaos, Silver, and a snowboard Sonic. The 35th anniversary branding appears throughout the packaging.
Retail price is around $11, and she is currently in stock online at GameStop. Availability in physical stores has been inconsistent, so online is your most reliable route right now
Sold comps on eBay are landing in the $35 to $40 range per unit. After eBay’s 13% fees, a $35 sale nets just over $30, and a $40 sale clears about $35 after fees. That is roughly $19 to $24 in profit per figure before shipping costs. Active asks on eBay are running higher than that, so the floor may have room to rise, but plan your math around confirmed sales rather than asks.
The volume angle is where this gets interesting. Five figures at $35 net roughly $95 to $120 in profit on a sub-$60 buy-in. Ten units gets you into the $190 to $240 range. For a figure sitting on a retailer’s website at $11 a pop, that is a straightforward run.
Availability is spotty in stores, so call ahead before making a trip. Online stock can move fast once resellers catch wind of a deal like this, so if you are reading this and it is still in stock, that is your window.
Sales could slow temporarily as more inventory enters the market, which is normal for in-print figures. This is not a one-day window item, but it is not a hold-forever play either. Move units while demand is active and supply is limited.
GameStop does allow returns on most toy purchases, so check your specific order’s return eligibility before buying in bulk. Knowing your exit is always worth a few seconds.
