Key Points

  • The set retails for $70 and won’t ship until June 2026, so you’re paying seven months in advance

  • Preorders close November 17, 2025 at 9:00 AM PT on Funko’s website

  • Last year’s 2024 championship 5-pack (which included Yamamoto) is currently reselling for well over retail

Funko just opened preorders for their 2025 World Series Champions 5-pack featuring the Dodgers, and collectors are already noticing something missing. The set retails for $70 and includes Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Teoscar Hernández, and Blake Snell. Wait, Blake Snell? Where’s series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto?

So, the Dodgers win, Topps drops a line of cards, and Funko is quick to churn out their 2025 Dodgers World Series Champs 5-pack. Featuring the stars of the show, there’s one obvious omission: Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Instead, we get Blake Snell, who had a very solid postseason but wasn’t the main story. Ironically, last year’s pack did include Yamamoto in place of Snell. In fact, aside from the Pops’ poses, these packs are near identical and feature the star players Ohtani, Betts, Freeman, and Teoscar Hernandez.

The 2024 Dodgers championship 5-pack retailed for the same $70 and is now consistently selling in the $180 to $220 range on eBay. That’s nearly 3X retail after less than a year. Some listings are pushing even higher, but the realistic sold comps are showing $200 as the sweet spot.

These packs are available for preorder right now through Funko’s website and Fanatics. The preorder window closes November 17 and are expected to be made to order, so there’s no rush to buy.

Will These Funkos Resell?

Unlike most Funko releases that ship within weeks, these championship sets have a massive lag time. You’re preordering now in November 2025, paying $70 upfront, and not getting your product until June 2026. That’s your money tied up for over half a year before you can even list it for sale.

For context, last year’s set followed the same pattern. Preorders opened right after the World Series in late October 2024, and sets didn’t ship until June 2025. The secondary market didn’t really heat up until closer to the next baseball season starting.

If you’re planning to flip this, the play is pretty straightforward but requires patience. Buy one or two sets at $70 each, wait until June 2026 for shipping, then hold until the hype builds for the 2026 season. Based on last year’s pattern, you’re looking at selling in the $180 to $220 range if demand holds similar.

Dodgers World Series Funko for Sale

After eBay’s fees, you’re netting around $157 to $191 per set. Subtract your $70 cost and you’re at $87 to $121 profit per pack. That’s solid, but remember it’s a 12+ month play from preorder to actual profit realization.

The big question is whether this year’s set will perform as well without Yamamoto. Last year’s set had the full star power including the Japanese superstar duo. This year swapping him out for Snell might impact collector demand, especially internationally where Yamamoto has huge appeal.

Risk Factors

This is not a quick flip. You’re committing money now for a product that ships in seven months and won’t hit peak resale value for probably another six months after that. Your $70 is locked up for over a year.

Funko championship sets have historically done well, but there’s no guarantee this year follows the same pattern. If Funko produces way more units this year, or if collector interest cools because of the Yamamoto omission, prices could stay flat or barely break even after fees.

Also worth noting: these are final sale with no refunds. If the market doesn’t materialize, you’re stuck with $70 Pops that might not move.

The Bottom Line

For pure collectors and Dodgers fans, this is still a must-buy despite the weird roster decision. You’re getting the back-to-back champions commemorated in Funko form, and the poses look clean.

For resellers, this is a patience game. If you have the capital to tie up for 12+ months and believe the Dodgers hype will still be strong next summer, grab one or two. The profit potential is there based on last year’s performance, but the Yamamoto absence and long wait time add risk.

If you’re looking for quick flips, skip this. If you can play the long game and don’t mind parking $70 per set for a year, the historical data says it’ll pay off.

Speaking of quick flips, check out Topps’ 2025 World Series Champions trading card set. These 15-card packs have a chance to include autos from some of the Dodger’s biggest stars, including a 1-of-1 triple auto from Ohtani, Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki.
