Easton released two limited edition variants of their Ghost Unlimited bat
The Pink Lemonade bats were limited to 3,000 and retailed for $500
Resellers have flipped them for up to $800
It’s time to start gearing up for summer softball. Easton recently dropped a limited run of their Ghost Unlimited fastpitch bats in a distinct “Pink Lemonade” colorway, and they flew off the virtual shelves near-instantly. Now resellers are relisting the bats on eBay for almost twice what they retailed for. This is just the latest in a string of baseball and softball-related items we’ve seen flip for a profit before the season starts.
As we all know, there’s no replacement for hard work. If you want to hit dingers, you need to put in the hours at the batting cages, practice hard on the field, eat well; you know, basic athlete stuff.
Or you can just buy an expensive piece of kit and pretend like you’re in the Majors. Why bother with your swing plane, proper mechanics, or cardio when you can pull out the Amex?
Easton recently launched a variant of their popular Ghost Unlimited women’s fastpitch bat. These feature the same core technology as the mainline bats like one-piece composite construction and extended Double Barrel sweet spot, just wrapped in a cool color.
The Easton “Pink Lemonade” Ghost Unlimited is a very limited version of one of their most popular bats. These were available online for $500 in two ways; either through a traditional sale through Easton’s website or a raffle through the Dick’s app.
Either way, the competition was fierce. Just 3,000 of these bats were produced, and customers were able to buy two in a single order. The formula was set up for them to sell out fast, and that’s exactly what happened.
Considering these carried an MSRP of $500, it makes you wonder just how much someone would actually pay for one. Easton certainly didn’t have any trouble moving them at the price, so what’s the ceiling?
Well, we actually have a pretty good idea of that number. Right now, Easton Ghost Pink Lemonade bats are reselling for anywhere from $750 to $850 at a time. The raffle ended on Friday, so we’re expecting to see more listings and more sales in the next few days.
Considering resellers were able to snag two bats a time, this drop was an opportunity for anyone with capital and a heads-up to make up to $500 in quick profits. No tricks, no special knowledge, just easy money for minimal effort.
