Clair Obscur Monolith Sets are listed for preorder at $110 right now
They include everything but the game from the Collector’s Edition
Clair Obscur Collector’s Editions have sold for over $1,500
If you’re a gamer, you’ve probably heard all the buzz about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. If you’re a reseller, you might have seen the incredible prices the collector’s editions are flipping for. In a surprise move, the publisher has opened a limited restock for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 “Monolith Sets” that include all the physical goodies from the collector’s edition. These are available for preorder right now, but it remains a question as to whether they’ll continue to resell.
First, a little backstory. If you’re interested in all the details on Expedition 33 and why these collector’s editions are so popular, make sure you check out our full article here.
The TL;DR is that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was one of the biggest video game releases of 2025, and one that seemingly came out of left field. It’s the first game developed by Sandfall Interactive, and the first title published by Kepler Interactive, with both companies founded within the last five years.
As game budgets and development cycles continue to balloon, seeing an outsider production like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 score so many sales and positive reviews is exciting. As with most major releases, Expedition 33 shipped with a collector’s edition that included a small statuette.
These sold for $150 and were extremely popular. Not many were produced either, at least relative to the game’s widespread popularity. Following its release, we began seeing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Collector’s Editions reselling for over $1,000.
Notably, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also shipped copies of the game on a physical disc, which is fairly uncommon for modern titles. We’ve seen these $50 discs sell out and flip for up to $70.
Which brings us to today’s topic. Kepler Interactive has announced they will be opening preorders for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Monolith Sets. These include all of the premium physical goods from the Collector’s Edition like the statuette, SteelBook, Expeditioner’s Journal, and display case.
Preorders are open right now through Laced Records’ website for $110. No copy of the game or premium digital content is included, and they are expected to ship in January 2026.
If you’re considering placing a preorder, please note that these products will be shipped from outside the US and potentially subject to increased prices from Trump’s tariffs.
Kepler Interactive, and Sandfall Interactive have made the difficult decision to increase shipping costs for US orders of this product. These charges cannot be refunded in future. We will provide an update closer to the shipping date confirming whether your order will ship domestically within the US or from our UK warehouse.
Since these aren’t expected to ship for more than six months, it’s unclear what level of tariffs, if any, will be levied on them when they ship. Still, it’s always smart to think ahead.
So, worth buying? Let’s get into it. Like we mentioned before, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Collector’s Editions have been enormously profitable.
Following the game’s release they’ve been flipping regularly for over $1,000, with some sales ringing in for more than $1,500. These continue to sell every day.
And if you consider that these Monolith Sets contain everything in the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Collector’s Edition sans game and digital content, it seems like a pretty nice opportunity to get in on a flip that you missed.
As is usually the case with restocks, the price will likely drop a bit when these hit the market. These are likely being made to order with preorders set to close on June 12, so we won’t know how many more are actually being produced.
We’re expecting to see Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Monolith Sets resell for $300 to $400. In fact, some resellers have already begun listing their preorders, and some have actually sold for around those numbers.
That’s a pretty good sign for anyone considering this flip. Just remember that these sets aren’t expected to ship until next year.
Additionally, this product has an unusually restrictive cancellation policy. You have just 48 hours after the preorder window closes to cancel your order; and requests made after this period will not be honored and you will not be refunded.
That makes this drop fairly risky. We’ll let you make the decision for yourself, but be aware that you might be stuck with an unprofitable product if these Monolith Sets are overproduced or the hype fades by the time they ship.
