Key Points

  • September will be a very profitable month for sneaker resellers

  • Brand new Travis Scott AJ1 Low could flip for up to 10x profit

  • Other notable pairs could flip for over 2x retail

With back to school season upon us, and the holidays just around the corner, Nike and Jordan are bringing heat for the winter months. There will be plenty of kicks to flip as we move through the busiest time of year for resellers. Here we’ll cover what’s on the sneaker resell calendar for September. Let’s dive in.

Supreme X Nike SB Dunk Low

Release Date: 9/4 (Tomorrow!)

Retail: $135

Expected Resale: $200+

Supreme will be kicking off Week 2 of the 2025 fall season with its latest rendition of the Nike SB Dunk Low. They return in five new colorways exclusively online and at supreme retail locations on September 4th.

Two of the five colorways, the “Black” and “White” will be released globally while the remaining 3 will be region exclusive. The “Ocean Fog” model is exclusive to North America, the “Camper Green” exclusive to Asia, and the “Ink” pair exclusive to Europe and UK. Each sports a “94” on the heel to commemorate the founding year of the iconic streetwear brand.

Nike Supreme SB Dunk Low Reseller

It’s hard to speculate on resale price without confirmed stock numbers, but pretty much every Supreme x Nike SB drop over the years has proven profitable, so we’re comfortable with a full send on this one.

Expect the region exclusive pairs to be more limited, but the globally available pairs should also do well given the low retail price and neutral color tones.

Nike Air Max 95 QS YGO “Joey Wheeler” (with promo card)

Release Date: 9/12

Retail: $210

Expected Resale: $350+

The Air Max 95 has been featured heavily this year as Nike celebrates the 30th anniversary of the classic model. While most colorways that were released this year can be found under retail with the exception of the “OG Neon” selling for a cool 2x profit, we expect Nike x Yu-Gi-Oh! Collaboration to perform well.

This Air Max 95 QS YGO “Joey Wheeler” comes complete with unique tonal blue paneling, neon “Air Muscle” logo as well as other imagery referencing the anime, and most importantly a special box + “Winds of Victory” promo trading card. We see this pair flipping short term as well as being a strong contender for a long term hold, but there isn’t any relevant sales data to reference at the moment.

Nike Air Max 95 Joey Wheeler

In addition to the “Joey Wheeler” colorway, Nike will be releasing a Japan-exclusive “Jonouchi” edition in grayscale, paying tribute to classic manga. The “Jonouchi” edition will come complete with all the same accents as the globally released pair, but will probably fetch a higher resale price considering regional exclusivity and generally more desirable colorway. You can find detailed pictures of both pairs here.

Air Max Joey Wheeler Jonouchi Gray

The accompanying promo card, translated to “Trap of the Poisonous Scorpion,” will also be unique to the “Jonouchi” edition. You will probably find both promo cards available on resale platforms soon after release, and this will be a strong indicator of market price for the full package moving forward.

Travis Scott X Fragment Air Jordan Military Blue

Release Date: 9/20

Retail: $150

Expected Resale: $1,000+

The Travis Scott x Jordan collaborations need no introduction. Market price for any TS AJ1 bottomed out ~$500, while holding a ceiling of ~$2,000 for the most in demand colorways. The previous Travis Scott x Fragment AJ1 Low which was released in 2021, commands a current market price of $1,500 – $2,000 on StockX.

Travis Scott Air Jordan Military Blue

This year’s model is already moving at around those prices, but will likely show a sharp decline after the official release. The Travis Scott x Fragment Air Jordan 1 Low “Military Blue” will be available in full family sizing on September 20th via SNKRS app.

Air Jordan 5 Tokyo

Release Date: 9/27

Retail: $210

Expected Resale: $300+

Originally released exclusively in Japan in 2011 to commemorate the opening of the Jordan Tokyo 23 store, the Jordan 5 “Tokyo” is getting its first US release on September 27th. This shoe was a certified grail for many collectors at the time, fetching sales in the upper 4 figure range for years after release.

Air Jordan 5 Tokyo Reseller Sneaker

Much like the recently released Air Jordan 4 “Undefeated,” this model will have a huge nostalgia factor that will likely keep the price well above retail as we move through the holiday season. Having already been released on August 23rd in Japan, the current sales on StockX coming in at ~$400 are a reasonable estimate for how the shoe will perform in current market conditions. We may see a drop to ~$300 shortly after release, but still plenty of profit to be made.

The Air Jordan 5 “Tokyo” will be available at select Jordan retailers, as well as the Nike SNKRS app on September 27th.

Pro Tip

Getting your shoes listed for sale ASAP online or on consignment is critical to locking in the highest margins. If you don’t secure your sale in the first 2 weeks after release, you’re probably going to take a cut in profit, or want to hold until supply dries up.

Like we said, the most profitable time of year to be a reseller is just getting started. Make sure you sign up for our newsletter to stay on top of all the hottest drops every month, and if you’re lucky you might get a chance to join the RC Elite discord.
