Key Points

  • Analogue 3D restocks tomorrow (November 24) at 8AM PST/11AM EST in both black and white for $270

  • Both models increased $20 from original pricing due to tariffs, making black $249.99 and white $269.99

  • Orders placed tomorrow ship December 2nd after all existing preorders fulfill

Analogue just announced tomorrow’s restock window for the 3D, their FPGA-based N64 console that plays original cartridges in 4K. If you’ve been following our previous coverage, you know these consoles have been flipping for $400-600 since their reveal last year. Tomorrow at 8AM Pacific, you’ll have another shot at retail, but it’ll cost you $20 more than the original drop.

What is the Analogue 3D?

This isn’t your typical retro console knockoff. The Analogue 3D is powered by FPGA hardware that recreates Nintendo 64 architecture at the silicon level, no emulation involved.

It plays every original N64 cartridge ever made, region-free, and outputs 4K resolution with zero input lag. The console includes four original-style controller ports, Bluetooth LE, dual-band WiFi, and Analogue’s 3DOS operating system.

For anyone who remembers wrestling with RF adapters and composite cables to get acceptable picture quality from an aging N64, the Analogue 3D solves that completely. The console ships with CRT reference quality display modes that faithfully recreate the look of gaming on vintage televisions, but in 4K on modern displays. It also includes performance enhancements that eliminate the frame rate dips the original N64 was notorious for.

Each unit comes with a 16GB SD card pre-installed, HDMI cable, USB cable, and a worldwide USB-C power supply. Controllers are sold separately through 8BitDo at $39.99, though the console works with original N64 controllers if you still have them.

Why the Price Increase?

Analogue cited tariffs as the reason for the $20 bump. Both the black and white models originally retailed at $249.99 and now cost $269.99. This tracks with broader electronics pricing pressures we’ve been seeing across consumer hardware this year.

The increase isn’t massive, but it does eat into profit margins for resellers and makes the entry point slightly steeper for collectors. At $270 for either color, you’re getting close to impulse-buy territory turning into deliberate purchase decision.

Analogue 3D Consoles Resell

As we covered last week, Analogue 3D consoles have been selling for $500-700 on eBay since units started shipping on November 18th. Black units consistently move at $500-600, with some sales pushing $700. White follows similar patterns despite slightly higher retail pricing.

Those numbers represent $250-450 profit after eBay’s 13% fees, assuming you can secure units at tomorrow’s restock. That’s solid for a console flip, especially one that ships within a week rather than months out.

The secondary market hasn’t cooled despite units actively shipping. That’s unusual because most flips see prices drop once supply hits the market. The sustained demand signals genuine collector interest beyond pure speculation.

How to Buy an Analogue 3D

Analogue restocks sell out fast. When we covered the original Analogue 3D announcement in October 2024, units disappeared within minutes. This pattern holds across all Analogue products. Remember the glow-in-the-dark Analogue Pocket that sold out in under 15 minutes and immediately flipped for $200+ over retail?

You’ll need an Analogue store account set up beforehand with payment info saved. Have both product pages open at 8AM Pacific sharp. Here are the links:

Analogue limits purchases to two units per customer. That means maximum exposure is $540 for two units of either color or one of each. December 2nd ship date means these could theoretically arrive before Christmas if shipping moves quickly.

Is This a Good Flip?

Let’s be direct about the math. Two units at $269.99 each cost $540 plus shipping. eBay sales at $550 each gross $1,100. After eBay’s 13% fees ($143), you net $957. Subtract your $540 cost and approximately $30-40 in shipping expenses both ways, and you’re looking at $380-390 profit from a single transaction.

That’s excellent for electronics flipping, but there are risks:

Analogue could announce another restock soon. They typically do small batches rather than one-time limited runs. Multiple restocks through December would pressure secondary prices downward as supply increases.

Holiday timing cuts both ways. Some buyers want consoles under the tree and will pay premiums. Others are tapped out from Black Friday spending and won’t bite at $550+ when retail is $250-270.

Returns are allowed within 30 days but carry a 15% restocking fee. If you can’t flip quickly, you’re eating into margins. At $270 retail, a 15% fee is $40.50 per unit, which makes the math much tighter if you need an exit strategy.

Long Holds Vs Quick Flips

Quick flippers should list immediately at $500-550 and take what they can get before more restocks arrive. The market is hot right now with units freshly shipping and review coverage generating hype. Strike while visibility is high.

Long-term holders face different dynamics. Analogue has a track record of maintaining value through limited production. Their previous consoles, the Super Nt and Mega Sg, still command premiums on secondary markets years after release. The Analogue Pocket regularly sells for $350+ despite $220 retail.

But here’s the catch: Analogue also releases special editions. They’ve done this repeatedly with the Pocket, including that glow-in-the-dark version we covered. If they announce a colored or limited variant of the 3D, standard black and white versions could lose steam as collectors pivot.

Our advice from previous Analogue coverage remains relevant: patience pays with special editions. The glow Pocket flipped for $200 over retail immediately. If you’re in this long-term, waiting for a limited colorway might yield better returns than standard models, even if those standard models appreciate modestly.

What to Watch For

Analogue’s announcement said “restock units will ship immediately after all pre-orders are completed.” That’s standard language, but it means if there are any fulfillment issues with existing preorders, December 2nd could slip. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting if you’re counting on pre-Christmas delivery for flips.

The $20 price increase is described as tariff-related, which means it’s probably permanent unless trade policies shift. Don’t expect prices to drop back to original levels on future restocks.

Controller availability matters. The 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth controllers designed for the 3D are selling separately at $39.99 but have been hard to find. Bundling consoles with controllers could command premiums, though sourcing controllers might be its own challenge.

Bottom Line

Tomorrow’s restock offers legitimate profit opportunity if you can secure units and flip quickly. The $280-390 margins we’re seeing justify the risk for resellers comfortable with electronics. But this isn’t a slam dunk hold play. Analogue’s restock patterns and potential special edition releases mean being tactical about entry and exit timing.

If you’re only buying one for personal use, the $20 increase stings but doesn’t fundamentally change the value proposition. The Analogue 3D delivers what it promises: authentic N64 gaming in 4K with zero compromises. For collectors, this remains the best way to play original cartridges on modern displays.

Set your alarms and decide fast. These won’t last long.
