It seems like the Summer of Barbie just won’t come to an end. Barbie boots, Barbie bags, Barbie McDonald’s meals, even Barbie Barbies. Everything pink, plastic, and officially licensed is selling like crazy. Take a look at these sunglasses from Aldo. What might have been considered nothing special just a few months ago, these Barbieshades are absolutely blowing up on social media. Where’s there’s hype, there’s sales, and now they are reselling for more than they retailed for.

Well, if you’re a regular RC reader, you might be getting sick of hearing about Barbie. We’ve covered a LOT of merchandise related to the movie in the last few weeks, and it seems like every other day we’re talking about something Barbie-related. The truth is, this movie has been damn profitable for resellers.

So, if seems like we’ve stars in our eyes, or we’re wearing rose-colored glasses, forgive us. Hey, speaking of which, check out these Barbie-themed sunglasses from Aldo! They’re part of Aldo’s expansive collaboration with Barbie, which also includes shoes, earrings, and other accessories.

They’re pink (duh), with rhinestones embedded around the lenses. The Barbieshades are based on popular 2000s designs, but you know what they say: what was tacky ten years ago is actually really cool, at least when it’s an officially licensed tie-in to a major motion picture.

Aldo sells the Barbieshades for $40 through their website, and also helpfully offer the option to pay through installments. Purchases also include a matching case.

All together, these sunglasses are a fun option for fans of the movie, Barbie girls, or people cobbling together a Bush-era high school girl cosplay. They’re currently sold out because of their popularity, and resellers have started to profit off them.

Right now, Aldo Barbieshades are reselling for around $120, with prices having surged after the release of the film. Aldo restocks these somewhat frequently, so keep an eye for more stock being loaded. You’re only a few clicks away from making $80.
