Back in June, getting your hands on a Knicks Snapple meant chasing clues across the five boroughs. Now it means walking to the corner store. Snapple is bringing back its championship bottle for a much wider run, timed right before the Knicks raise their first banner in over five decades. The originals became one of the summer’s strangest grails, trading for more than a hundred times what a bottle of iced tea normally costs. Don’t expect a repeat, but for pocket change, this could still be a tidy little flip to Knicks fans outside the tri-state area.

Knicks Snapple Glass Bottle Details

The Knicks beat the Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on June 13, their first title since 1973. Snapple, the team’s official tea partner, celebrated with 100 numbered Peach Tea bottles hidden at mystery locations around the city. Clues came from Staten Island food creator Danny Mondello of Meals by Cug; we covered the original scavenger hunt at the time.

On October 16, Snapple announced the bottle is coming back with the same Knicks artwork. It lands at participating New York and New Jersey stores on October 19 for $2.99. Snapple is also offering a matching limited-edition cup at its Snapple Mini Mart with any Snapple purchase to celebrate the Knicks’ home opener. This setup looks a lot like Snapple’s glass bottle revival last fall, when NY metro packs flipped for up to $50.

Knicks Snapple Bottles Resell

Supply is the whole story. June had 100 bottles, and this run has no disclosed number. The originals were also numbered “1/100,” and Snapple hasn’t said whether the new bottles carry numbering. If they don’t, collectors will separate the two easily and the originals keep their premium.

For context, some of the bottles from the original run have sold for up to $400 on eBay. We’re not expecting those same prices on the second time around.

A realistic target is $20 to $30 from fans who can’t get to a NY or NJ bodega. With no sold comps yet, treat that as an estimate. For a $20, you net roughly $15 after fees and expenses.

List early. The Knicks raise their banner on October 20, and interest should peak that week before listings pile up. Price high and avoid racing other sellers to the bottom.

Bottom Line

The downside is small at $2.99, and worst case you drink a Peach Tea. Buyers will want bottles sealed with clean labels, and full glass bottles need careful packing to survive shipping. If Snapple floods shelves, prices could settle at a few bucks over retail. Grab a handful rather than a case until you see how sold listings shake out.
