New GTA 6 Merch Might Drop Tomorrow

The pattern started right after the extended look trailer. Sony revealed a pair of Vice City themed controllers at a State of Play, then opened preorders the following Thursday through PlayStation Direct for $85. The white colorway sold out fast, and both versions flipped for $130 to $150 on eBay within hours.

The next Thursday brought GTA VI: The Album in three physical formats, headlined by a liquid-filled magenta vinyl at $124.98. Last Thursday, Rockstar finally opened preorders for the Goodtime State Vice City Collection on the Rockstar Store, a $400 box of Macca the Gator themed goodies that split fans right down the middle.

That box may have been the tip of the iceberg. Before it went live, dataminers noticed Rockstar had added 25 new SKUs to its store backend. Only the Collector’s Box has been made public so far, which leaves a lot of unannounced product waiting in the wings with seven weeks to go before launch.

Yesterday, YouTuber TmarTn posted a short video showing a surprise package Rockstar sent directly to his house. Inside was a graphic tee, a Rockstar hat, a tote bag, a hologram sticker pack, and an engraved Zippo lighter with Rockstar and Vice City logos. Fellow YouTuber Hollow received the same box, and several of the items match the leaked store listings.

To be honest, none of this is exciting from a reselling perspective. Tees, hats, and sticker packs are the kind of merch Rockstar can print forever, and we wouldn’t rush to buy any of it if that’s all that goes up tomorrow. The Zippo is the most interesting piece of the bunch, but only if it ships in limited numbers.

What the package does tell us is that Rockstar is warming up its creators for another round of merch, and probably soon. It also suggests we haven’t seen the last of the GTA 6 collectibles that will hit before the game launches in November.

First, be ready on Thursday morning. Rockstar has typically revealed and opened preorders for its latest GTA 6 products between 7 and 8 AM PT, and the best stuff moves fast once social media catches wind of it.

Second, pay close attention to production caps. Almost everything Rockstar has sold for GTA 6 has been made in huge numbers with no hard limit. The vinyl went hours without selling out, and we expect the Collector’s Box to be printed to demand. That’s great for Rockstar’s bottom line, but it kills the secondary market.

This is the same thing we’ve been saying since our original GTA 6 coverage in 2025. With the headline releases out of the way, we think there’s a real chance Rockstar starts rolling out more eclectic pieces in smaller runs, and that’s where the real money will be for resellers.

Refund policies have been all over the place, because Rockstar’s GTA 6 merch has been sold and fulfilled through several different companies. PlayStation Direct offers 30 day returns on the controllers. Vinyl preorders can’t be canceled, but delivered orders can be returned within 30 days for a refund minus shipping. The Collector’s Box is the opposite: Xsolla lets you cancel before it ships, but US buyers can’t return it once it’s delivered.

Assume every new drop has its own rules and read them before you pay. Also keep in mind that most GTA 6 merch doesn’t ship until November, so any preorder you can’t cancel ties up your money for weeks. If tomorrow’s drop is limited and cool, that’s a risk worth taking. If it’s a stack of t-shirts, save your cash for next Thursday.
