GTA 6 Collector's Edition is $400 and Includes a Statue

The Goodtime State Vice City Collection is themed around Macca the Gator, a fictional TV show inside the game. The centerpiece is a vinyl figure of Macca enjoying a smoke and a flamingo blood martini, with a twist-open stash compartment in the base.

Around it you get matte black Oakley Frogskins with Prizm Sapphire lenses, a New Era 9FORTY snapback, a ripstop crossbody bag, a pink magnetic mirror, a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, the swizzle spoon, a razor blade keychain, nine enamel pins in a tin, nine stickers in a stash bag, and a double-sided poster with a full map of Leonida.

It’s a pretty girthy collection, but $400 is extremely expensive for any game’s collector’s edition, even GTA 6. For comparison, the Red Dead Redemption 2 Collector’s Box launched at $99.99 and also skipped the game.

A superfan chasing the swankiest possible version of GTA 6 is now looking at $100 for the Ultimate Edition, $400 for this box, and $125 for the limited edition vinyl, or $625 total. That number is only going up as Rockstar keeps rolling out merch between now and November 19. We guessed back in 2025 that a complete collection could hit $500. A “complete” GTA 6 set clearing $1,000 by launch wouldn’t shock us.

As we’ve been preaching for over a year, Rockstar is going to print as many of these boxes as it can sell. Demand is sky high because of how big this game is, but these will never be truly rare. Rockstar also has a history of reopening orders after launch. In 2021, it brought back the RDR2 Collector’s Box for a limited-time re-release nearly three years after that game came out. That’s a serious consideration if you’re planning to hold for maximum profit.

That said, preorders will probably sell out fairly soon, and once they do, sealed boxes should resell above retail as people panic to secure one. We say “probably” because we don’t know Rockstar’s production strategy yet. It could be making these to order through launch, or it could pull preorders once it hits a hard cap. The second scenario is better for resellers, but that cap will still be far higher than almost any collector’s edition we’ve covered.

Plenty of people on social media are griping that they only want one or two pieces and won’t pay $400 for the rest. Instead of flipping the whole bundle, resellers that carefully part out the collection and sell it on eBay piece by piece could come out ahead.

Here’s one example: list the spoon and shot glass as a bundle for $120, the snapback for $100, the map for $80, the Macca figure for $250, and the Oakleys for $100. That’s $650 in sales, already putting you in the green. You still have the crossbody bag, mirror, keychain, pins, and stickers to sell separately or as an accessories bundle for another $50 to $100, and someone will probably buy the empty box for $20 or $30.

These are rough estimates, and those numbers could be even higher once opened boxes go up on the market. Once a box is opened, its value as a complete set drops hard, so this only works if individual pieces hold demand.

Rockstar (or rather Xsolla, their fulfillment partner) will allow you to cancel a preorder for a full refund prior to shipping. That eliminates a lot of risk for resellers and means you can place a preorder today with the knowledge you can get your money back if you change your mind.

However, returns and refunds will not be offered for delivered boxes. EU and UK customers have a right of withdrawal if a return is requested within 14 days, but US customers do not have this protection. Once your order leaves the warehouse, you’re stuck with the box.

While these collector’s boxes were at the top of most gamers’ wishlists, they probably aren’t the last limited edition GTA 6 collectible we’ll see from Rockstar.

This is the fourth Thursday in a row that Rockstar has announced or opened preorders for new GTA 6 merch, following the DualSense controllers and the vinyl. In short, be ready on Thursday mornings going forward.

The figure choice is also a surprise. Fans expected a Jason or Lucia statue, and Rockstar may still sell one later, though that’s pure speculation. Either way, these big boxes aren’t the endgame. The most lucrative GTA 6 collectibles will likely be the lower-key pieces made in smaller numbers with less attention, the stuff collectors hunt down after launch once they realize what they missed.
