Key Points

  • SDCC 2026 kicked off Preview Night today with dozens of exclusive collectibles hitting the floor

  • Six standout exclusives span Dark Horse, Super7, IDW, Funko, Mondo, and Titan Books this week

  • Four of the six carry hard production caps between 100 and 1,000 units tied to major IP

San Diego Comic-Con kicked off Preview Night today, and the show floor is packed with the kind of low print merch that turns heads and gets nerds drooling. Every year a handful of these exclusives break containment, go viral outside the convention center, and end up reselling for real multiples of what they cost at the booth. We dug through everything dropping across SDCC 2026 and picked six releases we think have the best shot at becoming this year’s runners, from a first ever Funko take on DC’s Absolute Universe to a limited lithograph most people outside comic circles haven’t heard of yet.

Why SDCC Exclusives Are Worth Watching

Comic-Con exclusives hold value because they’re capped, dated, and impossible to reorder. A publisher or toymaker prints a few hundred or a couple thousand units, sells them only at the con or through a brief online window, and then the mold never runs again.

Not every SDCC exclusive pops off. Most sit in the “cool if you’re already there” category and never really clear retail on the secondary market. But a handful every year catch fire, usually because they connect an already hot IP to a genuinely tight print run, and those items can flip for multiples of retail within the first week.

This is our read on which SDCC 2026 releases have the mix of scarcity, IP heat, and buzz to be this year’s breakout flips.

Funko Pop Absolute Batman Figures

Funko is putting DC’s Absolute Universe into Pop form for the first time, with separate Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman, and Absolute Wonder Woman figures landing at booth #5341. Each character is capped at 1,000 pieces, priced at $40, and comes pre-packaged in a UV Premium Plastic Pop Protector with Funko’s new Octane5 micro-optic authentication tech built into the box, a direct response to the counterfeit Pops that have plagued the secondary market for years.

SDCC 2026 Absolute Batman Funko Pop

Absolute Batman launched in 2024 and has since gone through ten reprints of its first issue, making it DC’s best selling ongoing series. Giving that character (plus Superman and Wonder Woman) a debut Pop figure, at 1,000 pieces each, is the kind of setup that gets collectors chasing all three to complete the trio, not just whichever one they can grab first.

Booth access runs through a daily lottery, and shared retailers may carry the same figures during the show window. Given the print run and the fact this is the first-ever Pop for the Absolute line, Batman is the one we’d bet on moving fastest, with Superman and Wonder Woman not far behind.

Dark Horse Invisible Bilbo Baggins Figures

This one is exactly what it sounds like: a 6 inch Bilbo Baggins figure that’s molded and painted to look invisible, based on Bilbo’s appearance in the classic Rankin Bass film. It’s $60, limited to 500 pieces, capped at five per customer, and available at booth #2615.

SDCC 2026 Dark Horse Invisible Bilbo

The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings collectibles have a deep, consistent fan base that doesn’t need a new movie or show to stay engaged, and a novelty piece like this tends to travel well outside typical toy circles because the joke is easy to explain in one photo. At 500 units, it’s tighter than most of what’s on this list, and the price point is low enough that it’s an easy add for someone already budgeting for other exclusives.

TMNT #300 Chuck U Cover Lithograph

IDW turned artist Chuck U’s variant cover for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #300 into a 16 inch by 24 inch lithograph, limited to 300 copies at $60 each, available at booth #2729.

Milestone issue variant covers already carry weight with comic collectors, and turning one into a standalone print run of just 300 adds a second layer of scarcity on top of that. TMNT has stayed commercially strong for decades across toys, comics, and media, so a numbered art print tied to a landmark issue is a reasonable bet for anyone comfortable holding and shipping prints rather than toys.

Super7 Pink Glitter Godzilla Figure

Super7’s take on Godzilla’s 2004 design, done up in clear pink glitter and inspired by Godzilla: Final Wars, is a 5.5 inch articulated figure with a bendable tail, priced at $30 at booth #2343.

There’s no official production number attached to this one, so we can’t call it a hard limited run the way we can with the others on this list. That said, it’s already picked up serious attention outside the convention itself, showing up across toy and pop culture coverage well before the show floor even opened.

Godzilla has a fanbase that reliably supports oddball colorways, and a $30 entry price makes this one of the easiest and cheapest items on this list to flip even without a stated cap. We’d still call it a strong contender, just one where the upside is riding more on buzz than on a printed number.

Mondo He-Man Panthor 1/6 Scale

Mondo’s Panthor Flocked Limited Edition figure is an 18 inch long, 12 inch tall 1/6 scale figure with removable armor and two swappable heads, priced at $525 and limited to 500 units. Preorders opened this morning through Mondo’s website, with the figure also available in person at booth #5137.

SDCC 2026 Mondo Panthor Scale Figure

This is the most expensive item on our list by a wide margin, and that changes the math. Masters of the Universe has a proven track record on the secondary market, and a flocked, oversized display piece like this one skews toward serious collectors rather than casual flippers, which can actually support stronger resale prices since the buyer pool cares more about condition than volume. It’s also a large, heavy box, so shipping costs will need to be factored into your math.

Titan Books: The Making of Aliens

J.W. Rinzler’s The Making of Aliens is available outside the con through normal retail channels, but the SDCC version at booth #5537 comes bundled with a limited edition Bug Stomper enamel pin, capped at just 100 pieces, for $60.

SDCC 2026 Making of Aliens Book

The book alone isn’t the draw here since it’s not exclusive. The pin is what makes this scarce, and buying one also enters you into a raffle for a copy signed by James Cameron himself, which adds a layer of appeal beyond the physical pin count.

Aliens has a committed collector base that skews toward higher spending per item, so a 100 piece pin tied in with a raffle chance at a Cameron signature is a reasonable long shot flip for someone willing to hold onto it.

Bottom Line

Every item on this list, like virtually all SDCC exclusives, is final sale. No refunds, no exchanges, no keeping the receipt just in case. If the market cools before you can flip it, you’re holding inventory, not cash. That’s just how these drops work, but it’s worth saying plainly: don’t blow your whole convention budget chasing all six of these, especially not the $525 Panthor. Pick the ones that match your actual capital and your actual read on demand, and treat the rest as fun to watch from the sidelines.
