Phantasmal Flames gets its full US release after preorders opened in September
PC Exclusive ETBs have already been flipping for 5x profit

The second installment of the Mega Evolution era, Mega Evolution: Phantasmal Flames preorders released at Pokemon Center on September 15th, and they are already flying on eBay for major profits. As the final expansion of 2025, it’s only right that we finish with a set heavily featuring the GOAT, Charizard in all his mega glory. Phantasmal Flames will officially release in the US tomorrow, November 14.
Phantasmal Flames is largely a combination of its Japanese counterpart Inferno X, along with Japanese Mega Battle Decks featuring popular designs like Mega Gengar ex and Mega Diancie ex. One of the most hyped cards is Mega Charizard, which will likely make up most of tomorrow’s early sales.
The Battle Decks were released in Japan on September 5th, and Inferno X released on September 26th. The Pokemon.com press release also confirmed the set will focus on Fire and Dark type mons.

This Elite Trainer Box will be one collectors put away for a while. The Mega Charizard art and the instant 5x profit margin pre-release is a great indicator for how in demand this set is, and will be. Even if prices drop once Phantasmal Flames is released in the US, the Pokemon Center exclusive ETBs should keep up most of their market value through the holidays.
The PC exclusive ETB comes with 11 booster packs and 2 identical full art Charcadet promo cards; one sporting a PC logo.

Preorders for the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection went live on BestBuy.com in September, and should drop at Pokemon Center and other major retailers soon. They are currently moving well on eBay for over 2x profit, and will officially release on November 14th with the Phantasmal Flames expansion.
It comes with 18 booster packs featuring what looks to be Phantasmal Flames, Mega Evolution, Destined Rivals, Journey Together, and Prismatic Evolution, as well as a full art Mega Charizard X promo card.
Additionally you’ll get assorted Pokemon TCG goodies like a playmat, deckbox, and deck protectors featuring Mega Charizard X.

Preorders for both the 36-pack booster box and the 6-pack booster bundle went live on PokemonCenter.com alongside the PC elite trainer boxes.

Each of these expansions performed very well from initial announcement to well after release. Prismatic Evolutions and Destined Rivals are considered to be the most desirable among collectors, but all sets are consistently out of stock and profitable nonetheless.
