Destined Rivals Preorders are selling for major profit on eBay
They’ve been restocking online for the last few weeks
The official release date online and in stores is May 20th
Preorders for Destined Rivals are moving fast on eBay at 3x retail price. If you’ve been paying attention, you know that Pokemon cards have been flying off shelves at major retailers. Prismatic Evolutions released in January and has been commanding a steady 2-3x profit on any sealed product, and the market prices on Destined Rivals are no different.
This ETB featuring MewTwo and OG Team Rocket Boss Giovanni is really a must have for collectors, it’s hard to get more classic than that. Pokemon Center variants are always the highest margin and most desirable products. The retail ETB contains 9 booster packs and 1 promo card, while the PC variant contains 11 booster packs and an extra identical promo card with a PC stamp.
All products made available so far are essentially just booster packs. We haven’t seen any word of a premium collection or other additional products aside from a Destined Rivals Build and Battle Box that will be available closer to the May 20th release date.
Here’s everything that’s reselling right now. Keep an eye out at stores for any of these products.
The Display Booster Box comes with 36 booster packs total and is a favorite among anyone that loves to rip! Let’s face it, 10 was never enough.
Like Journey Together, the expansion released just before Destined Rivals, this set will showcase Trainer Pokemon, but most fans would agree that Destined Rivals far outshines its predecessor. The inclusion of classic villains Team Rocket really puts this expansion over the top for many collectors, and we’re expecting the hype to carry on through release day.
This set is also carrying some of the best Illustration Rare cards we’ve seen in recent sets. Check out the expected Destined Rivals card list based off the recently announced Japanese set The Glory of Team Rocket.
