Look who’s back. Donald Trump is all set to begin his second term in January, and Americans are already feeling the social and economic ramifications. Resellers know that there’s a lot of money to be made from the right memorabilia. Time has recently named Trump as 2024’s Person of the Year, and the upcoming magazine covers are looking like the perfect flip. We’ve already seen them start trading hands, and Time’s announcement has renewed interest in his original 2016 cover. Let’s take a look.

2024 Trump Person of the Year Magazines

Dread him, run from him, the Orange Man arrives all the same. In just over a month, Trump will be inaugurated for the second time in his life, joining Grover Cleveland as the only two men to serve two nonconsecutive presidential terms.

We have no intention of getting political. Regardless of how you might feel about Trump, you can recognize that his election is a big deal. Time Magazine agrees, and cites his outsized impact on global politics behind their decision to name Trump as 2024’s Person of the Year.

The news broke earlier this week, and Time has revealed their upcoming magazine with the president-elect prominently featured on the cover.

This is not the first, or even third time we’ve tracked a Trump-related newspaper. Time named him as Person of the Year following his 2016 win, and the various newspapers detailing his 2023 arrest and 2024 conviction on felony charges ended up reselling for some pretty wild prices.

So it makes sense that resellers are paying attention to this cover. Time is currently selling printed posters of the issue on their website for $20, and we’re expecting the physical magazines to hit newsstands very soon.

Trump Person of the Year Covers Resell

Over the past 48 hours, we’ve seen a ton of presale listings for these magazines appear on eBay. Interest is clearly quite strong, and resellers are already making money from them.

Right now, 2024 Trump Time Person of the Year magazines are reselling for upwards of $20 at a time. Considering you can usually buy these at retail for under $10, this is looking like an easy way to double your money with minimal effort.

Would you take that offer? Spend a few hours driving around with your friends and buying up magazines, then cash out on eBay by flipping everything at once.

We also noticed something else interesting while tracking this flip. Copies of Trump’s original 2016 Person of the Year Time magazine covers have shot up in price this week, with several selling for over $120 at a time.

That should be a good sign that these items can have real, lasting value. We’re not advising anyone to tie up their life savings in a bunch of magazines, but clearly some resellers opted to hold onto their covers are now reaping 12x profits. Food for thought.
