Goldfish and Boban Marjanović teamed up to produce an exact replica of Boban’s hand as a Goldfish platter
Just 100 of the Boban Goldfish Hand Dishes were made, and given away during a raffle in March
After receiving their hands some time in April, some winners chose to sell them for $500 or more

Goldfish collaborated with NBA star Boban Marjanovic to release a limited quantity of these All-Star hand dishes through a raffle in March of 2023. They measure 10.75” long, and are the exact size and shape of the 7’4” star’s own right hand. Also includes a signed card from Boban.
We are finally seeing aftermarket sales for the Boban Goldfish Hand Dishes, and prices are remarkable. Winners of the March raffle have been putting their dishes up for sale, and snagging hundreds of dollars for them. While some may prefer to keep their winnings, it’s hard to argue with the easy profit to be made by selling one. So what’s the big deal with these Goldfish platters? Who’s selling them, and more importantly, who is buying?
We saw our first glimpse of these special snack platters back in February. A commercial unveiling the Goldfish Hand Dish was released, as a special collaboration between the brand and NBA player Boban Marjanović.
At 7’4″, Boban is the tallest active NBA player. With a massive wingspan and equally massive hands, he’s a contender for some major Goldfish scoopage. Evidently, Goldfish took him up on this, and produced a life size reproduction of the basketball star’s left hand. Measuring 10.75 inches and capable of cradling 301 Goldfish at once, the Hand Dish is perfect for binge-eating Boban fans who need a receptacle for their favorite snack.
The raffle for the Goldfish Hand Dishes opened on March 1st, with 100 total dishes. Fans had just 30 minutes to enter. Those lucky enough to snag a Goldfish Hand Dish had up to 10 days to claim their prize.
These were completely free. No purchase was necessary to enter the raffle, and winners would have their prizes shipped to them completely free of charge. Goldfish estimates the value of a winning entry at $33.19, which includes both the Boban Hand Dish and complementary six-ounce bag of Goldfish.
While winners were chosen in March, it took several weeks for prizes to ship. It wasn’t until mid-April until winners got their hands on Boban’s Hands.
The first eBay sale for one the Goldfish Hand Dishes took place on April 9th. It’s unclear what the actual sale price was, as the buyer accepted an offer. The item was listed for sale at $2,000. Following this, 11 more sales have taken place on eBay since then. Currently, the Boban Goldfish Hand Dish is reselling for around $500, with multiple sales above and below this mark.
Clearly, this was an exceptional opportunity. While Goldfish has not released the total number of entries, we can imagine they numbered in the tens of thousands. With only 100 of the dishes to go around, there would be plenty of entrants left empty-handed. That said, those lucky enough to win now had a seriously valuable and unique piece of snacking memorabilia in their possession. Whether they would choose to sell it or cherish it for future generations would be up to them.
While the Boban Goldfish Hand Dishes are undoubtedly a strange item, there have been other cases of odd products reselling. Check out our articles on the JMM x KLR Succession Sunglasses and Scott the Woz Monopoly for examples of celebrities and influencers crossing over with major brands.
