Key Points

  • Topps priced the 2025 Stranger Things hobby boxes at $300, much more than most anticipated

  • Sealed boxes are currently selling for $400 to $450 on eBay

  • Each box guarantees one autograph or autograph relic plus one costume relic card

The first big flip of 2026 is a success. Yesterday, Topps released a limited run of Stranger Things hobby boxes shortly after the final aired. These sold out fast despite a shockingly high price, and now resellers are turning remarkable products on the drop. We’re not surprised to see these resell, even if the price caught us a little off guard.

Topps Stranger Things 2025 Hobby Boxes

Most trading card hobby boxes are a gamble. You’re buying packs hoping for hits, with no guarantees beyond base cards. Topps eliminated that risk entirely for this final Stranger Things release. Every single box includes a guaranteed autograph card (or autograph paired with a costume piece) plus a separate costume relic featuring actual fabric worn on screen.

We’re guessing that this was a comparatively limited release to Topps’ other recent branded hobby boxes, and they sought to counterbalance a smaller supply by jacking up the price. We predicted a starting point of $150, but Topps doubled that and still managed to sell out of their Stranger Things hobby boxes in minutes.

That guaranteed hit structure matters. At $300 retail, you’re essentially pre-buying an autograph from the cast. Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) autos alone have sold for $300 to $500 on previous Stranger Things releases. Joe Keery (Steve) pulls $150 to $250. Even mid-tier cast members like Caleb McLaughlin command $100+.

The costume relics add value too. These aren’t replicas or generic pieces. They’re actual screen-worn fabric from iconic outfits like Steve’s Scoops Ahoy uniform or Eleven’s hospital gown. Each relic is numbered to 99 copies or fewer, creating genuine scarcity.

These boxes are currently flipping for around $450 to nearly $500 at a time. After eBay’s fee’s, you’re looking at around $140 profit, depending on your final sale amount.

Previous Stranger Things releases have consistently held 2X to 3X retail long-term. The 2018 Season 1 hobby boxes started around $60 to $70 and now sell for $150 to $200 sealed. The difference? Those released when the show was building momentum. This is the finale, the last chance for collectors to get official Topps cards (until they do throwback cards).

2025 Topps Stranger Things for Sale

You’re looking at consistent $130 to $150 profit with minimal risk on a sealed box, and these will likely appreciate further once shipping starts in March. The real gamble is cracking boxes and selling individual hits.

Pull an Eleven auto and you’re sitting on $300 to $500. Land Hopper or Steve and that’s $150 to $250. Even lower-tier cast members net $100+. The costume relic adds another $50 to $100 depending on the character. Best-case scenario, you’re turning $300 into $600+. Worst case, you pull an autograph nobody wants and you’re stuck at break-even or a loss.

The numbered parallels add upside. Base cards have six parallel levels running from /75 down to 1/1s. Every base card also has an Upside Down variation with its own parallel set numbered to /25 and below. Hit a 1/1 of a main character and you’re looking at serious money.

We generally recommend resellers to focus on flipping sealed boxes rather than chasing cards. It can be very tempting to rip into your supply and hope to get something big, but the safer, smarter play is always to flip the box unopened and let someone else take the risk.

Stranger Things X Topps Now

For resellers who didn’t want to commit $300 per box, Topps also released individual Stranger Things Now cards at $12 each. These sealed single cards feature an open-edition base design with potential foil parallels numbered to /99 and lower.

The real value is in the chase. Each card has a small chance at rare variations including “One Last Adventure” image variation short prints and “Seasons 1-5” super short prints. The ultimate hits are 1/1 autograph cards from Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Jamie Campbell Bower.

Stranger Things Topps Now Individual Card

At $12 retail, these offer a low-stakes way to gamble on Stranger Things cards without the $300 box commitment. Pull a 1/1 auto and you’re looking at $300+ profit on a $12 investment. Even the numbered foil parallels fetch $30 to $50 depending on character and rarity.

The odds are brutal though. You’re essentially buying lottery tickets at $12 each. Most buyers will get the base open-edition card and nothing else. The math only works if you’re willing to buy volume and accept that most purchases will brick.

Bottom Line

The $300 retail price initially scared off resellers who expected something closer to $150. But the guaranteed autograph structure and final-season timing have kept secondary market prices strong at $450. If you copped at retail, you’re sitting on solid profit.

Sealed boxes are the safer play for steady appreciation. Cracking boxes is higher risk but could net serious returns on the right pulls. Individual Now cards at $12 offer lottery-ticket upside for budget-conscious flippers.

The finale creates genuine scarcity that previous releases didn’t have. This is the last chance for collectors to buy direct from Topps, and that exclusivity drives value even at the higher retail price point.
