3,000 Orchid keyboards restocked this week
US prices were around $625, a $75 increase from the first drop
Resellers are flipping them for around $1,000
The latest restock of Telepathic Instruments’ Orchid keyboard has come and gone. The result? A resounding victory for resellers, and a lot of pissed off fans. These keyboards have been in high demand since their initial limited release last year, and the 2025 restock was a great chance for anyone who missed out the first time around. The new stock has led to a minor drop in prices, and Trump’s tariffs aren’t helping either, but these are still plenty profitable.
So what the hell are we talking about? If you’ve been asleep at the wheel these last few weeks and not reading our blog, you might’ve missed out on this restock.
You can learn all about the Telepathic Instruments Orchid in our main article here, but the TL;DR is that it’s an innovative and highly limited experimental synth produced by Telepathic Instruments and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker.
The Orchid cultivated considerable hype ahead of its release in December, and many of the 1,000 units sold made their way into the hands of resellers. Shortly after its launch, the $550 Orchid was reselling for as much as $1,400.
So when we got word that TI would be restocking the Orchid this month, we paid attention. Similar to the first drop, this restock was password-protected and very limited. Just 3,000 units were produced. This drop was global, with the stock evenly split between the Americas and the rest of the world.
Customers were limited to one Orchid per order. Unfortunately, the Orange Man’s tariffs impacted this drop for American customers, bumping the retail price up from $550 to around $625. To qualify for free shipping, US customers would need to spend $675.
And while we were projecting less profits from this drop due to the increased supply and tariff pricing, it was still a great opportunity for any reseller. Hopefully you didn’t skip this one.
Right now, Telepathic Instruments Orchid keyboards are reselling for just around $1,000. Note that these keyboards are labeled ORC-300, denoting they are part of the most recent restock. They are functionally identical to the ORC-1000 keyboard and include the same orange carry case.
Resellers that got in on this drop stood to profit $200 to $400, and buyers outside the US could benefit from the lower pricing for even better profits. We’ll take that deal any day of the week, and we’ll be keeping our eyes on Telepathic Instruments’ social media for details on the next restock.
