Key Points

  • Xbox Classic Clogs retailed for $80 and launched November 25

  • Most sizes sold out within days, with only men’s 5-7 and women’s 7-9 still available

  • Resale prices range from $120 to $200 on eBay depending on size and demand

Microsoft’s done it again. After the Windows XP Crocs earlier this year stayed locked behind employee-only gates, the Xbox Classic Clog just dropped to the public—and promptly sold out in most sizes. Resellers who copped at retail are already securing juicy profits on another Microsoft X Crocs collab.

New Microsoft Xbox Crocs

Regular readers might remember our coverage of the Windows XP Crocs. These started as an employee-only product, but public pressure led to Microsoft releasing them via raffle.

Demand was so strong that the Windows XP Crocs ended up reselling for hundreds of dollars at a time, and it looks like Microsoft is eager to dip back into that pot. Last week, they released a new Classic Xbox Croc with the company.

These aren’t messing around. Each shoe features dimensional controller details including fixed joysticks that actually stick out, raised ABXY buttons, a D-pad, and even bumper buttons on top. The design replicates an Xbox One X controller split across two feet—”Player Left” and “Player Right” printed on the insoles.

Black base with neon Xbox green accents. Matte finish. Xbox rivet branding. The whole controller aesthetic without trying to make the shoes functional (which would be ridiculous, but also kind of cool).

Crocs also dropped a 5-pack of Xbox Jibbitz charms for $20 featuring Vault Boy from Fallout, Sea of Thieves skull, original DOOM logo, Halo Master Chief helmet, and a World of Warcraft Murloc. Those are still available and probably won’t flip hard unless you bundle them with sold-out shoe sizes.

Currently only smaller men’s sizes (5-7) and mid-range women’s sizes (7-9) remain in stock at retail. If you wear size 10 or larger? You’re hitting eBay or waiting for a potential restock that hasn’t been announced.

eBay listings show completed sales ranging from $120 for less popular sizes to $200 for high-demand men’s 10-12. That’s $40 to $120 profit before fees and shipping. After eBay’s 13% cut, you’re looking at $22 to $91 actual profit per pair.

Not mortgage money, but solid returns for a $80 retail clog. The math works better on larger sizes where demand concentrates. Men’s 11 pairs are consistently hitting $180-200, while men’s 6 struggles to crack $120.

Gaming culture crossovers work when the design commits. These don’t halfass the controller aesthetic—the joysticks and buttons are dimensional, not printed. It’s weird enough to grab attention but wearable enough that people actually buy to wear, not just collect.

Crocs produced enough that manual cops were possible but not so many that demand got saturated. Compare that to their massive General Release collabs that sit at or below retail.

Bottom Line

Xbox Crocs proved public-release Microsoft footwear can actually move units and create resale markets. Pairs that copped at $80 are flipping for $120-200 depending on size, with larger men’s sizes commanding premium pricing.

Not a game-changing flip, but a legitimate profit opportunity for resellers who acted fast. The real lesson? When Microsoft merchandising learns from past mistakes (looking at you, Windows XP employee exclusives), they can actually create products people want to buy and resell.

Remaining sizes won’t last forever. If you need a pair to wear or flip smaller sizes, retail’s still an option. Otherwise, you’re paying the resale tax.
