Target Catwoman Figures Are an Easy Flip

If you’re bored and feel like making a little money, we’ve got an opportunity for you. Target has just started stocking new Catwoman figures from McFarlane toys. These are just now hitting stores, so product pages and information is scarce, but we do have plenty of confirmed sales. Resellers that managed to find these figures in stock are flipping them for up to three times what they retail for.

McFarlane Platinum Catwoman Figures

Now, there are a lot of Catwoman figures out there. A quick Google search will show you that toymakers have been cranking them out for decades, so we need to be specific.

What we’re looking at today is a new Platinum variant from McFarlane toys. This is based on Anne Hathaway’s portrayal of Catwoman in The Dark Knight rises from 2012.

It’s a 7″ tall figure with 22 points of articulation and a pair of very, very long boots. Also included are three different masks, a broken Batman mask, a box containing a pearl necklace, as well as a collectible card and base for posing.

Prices range from $20 to $40 depending on the retailer. These are sold out from pretty much online dealer, but it is possible to find them at Target. According to reports from Reddit, these are turning up at stores on the West Coast, but have not reached the East just yet.

New McFarlane Batman Figure

Along with the Catwoman figures, new Batman designs are also appearing at Target. This figure is based on Batman’s appearance in the 2016 film Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Retail prices and availability are similar to Catwoman. People are less hyped for this one, but they’re still quite popular.

McFarlane Catwoman and Batman Figures Resell

If you manage to snag one of these at your local Target, congratulations. Collectors are fiending pretty hard for these figures right now. They’re sold out everywhere and preorders are closed, so the desperate have no choice but to turn to a scalper.

Right now, McFarlane Platinum Catwoman figures are reselling for upwards of $90. McFarlane Batman figures are usually going for about $70.

We’d consider that “pretty good”. While there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to find one (and there’s a pretty good chance you won’t), this is definitely you want to be looking for. Get lucky enough to find a few on the shelf and that’s your grocery bill taken care of.

Or perhaps you’d rather buy a few jars and keep the figures for yourself. We don’t care, although we’d rather not hear about it.
