Kanye Drops Signed Bully Records, Resellers Feast

Kanye West dropped his new album Bully on March 28, and the merch followed fast. Signed vinyl and CDs went up on his official store at $50 a piece, and resellers who were paying attention walked away with one of the more straightforward flips of the year so far. The signed copies are gone now, but the secondary market is active, and the story of why these moved so fast is worth understanding for the next time Ye does something like this.

Bully dropped on March 28 alongside a full merch rollout on Ye’s official store. The lineup included multiple vinyl color variants, cassettes, CDs, and merch bundles. Buried in there were two signed versions: a Bully LP Signed and a Bully CD Signed, both priced at $50.

The signed copies sold out fast. There were reports of restocks, but those windows were brief and largely unannounced. At this point, the signed LP and CD should be considered sold out. A restock is possible but would likely come in very small numbers, so don’t count on it.

Kanye has almost never sold officially autographed product. The one prior exception was a small run of signed posters tied to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which sold in extremely limited numbers and is closer to a footnote than a precedent. For all practical purposes, the Bully signed LP and CD represent Ye’s first real autographed release at scale.

That matters a lot for pricing. When an artist of Kanye’s profile sells signed records, collectors and fans don’t have a prior data point to anchor expectations. There’s no established ceiling. The combination of a highly anticipated album, a massive global fanbase, and genuine scarcity around a signed artifact created exactly the conditions that drive secondary market prices up quickly.

For vinyl resellers specifically, this was a straightforward opportunity. A $50 signed record from one of the most polarizing and talked-about artists in music, with no prior comparison point for what his autograph is worth at retail. You didn’t need deep Ye knowledge to recognize that one.

Signed Bully LPs and CDs are currently selling in the $150 to $200 range on eBay, with solid volume confirming genuine demand rather than a handful of aspirational listings. After eBay’s 13% fee, sellers who grabbed one at retail are clearing roughly $80 to $125 in profit per unit.

Both formats appear to be performing similarly in terms of price. The vinyl carries more inherent collectible appeal for most buyers, but the CD signed copies are moving too.

Prices will likely hold or drift slightly lower as the initial wave of buyers is satisfied and more copies hit the market from people who grabbed multiples. Don’t expect a dramatic drop though. Signed product at any price is genuinely rare.

If Ye continues to sell signed merch going forward, the Bully copies become less singular and prices normalize. If this remains the only real signed release of his career at scale, these could appreciate meaningfully over time, especially in mint condition with original packaging.
