The Stanley craze might be over
The Chiefs are giving away one “The Kingdom” Exclusive Kit
Entry closes on August 20, no purchase necessary
The kit could resell for $1,000+
Are you ready for football season? To get things started right, the Kansas City Chiefs have worked together with ESPN to produce a six-part TV series called “The Kingdom” detailing their rise to NFL dominance. In addition, they’re holding a giveaway right now for an exclusive version of “The Kingdom”, bundled with unique collectibles and a jersey autographed by Chris Jones. It’s hard to put a number value on this, but we’re looking at hundreds, potentially thousands of dollars in profit for the fan (or reseller) that wins this kit. Let’s take a look.
With the preseason well underway, we’re only a few weeks away from the first games of the 2025 NFL season. To celebrate, ESPN and the KC Chiefs have developed a six-part miniseries focusing on the team’s pursuit of the three-peat and the building of their modern day dynasty.
The entire series is available for streaming right now on ESPN+ and Disney+, with episodes airing right now on ESPN.
And the Chiefs are offering one fan the opportunity to take home something truly special. They’ve prepared one exclusive kit for “The Kingdom”, which will be given away via sweepstakes.
“The Kingdom” Exclusive Kit consists of a unique locker to store a physical copy of the series, a branded football, a vinyl record with music from “The Kingdom”, behind-the-scenes bonus footage, and “more”. Additionally, the kit also includes a jersey signed by defensive tackle Chris Jones.
It’s hard to overstate the value of this kit. With only one made and an authentic autograph from one of the Chiefs’ most important players, fans and collectors will be fighting each other when it inevitably hits eBay.
You can enter the sweepstakes right now through the Chiefs’ website. You’ll need to provide some basic info, but it’s completely free to join. The giveaway close on August 20, with a winner selected on September 5.
We certainly think so. While the Chiefs estimate the value of the kit at $500 in their official rules, we think it’s worth much, much more. With only one made with so much bespoke merch, we’re guessing there’s more than a few Chiefs superfans willing to pay out the nose for it.
Additionally, there’s the Chris Jones signed jersey. We’ve seen a fair few resell in the past couple months, with the average sale around $200. Outlier listings have sold for over $500.
With the jersey as the baseline, we’re estimating this exclusive kit will resell for at least $500. There’s a potential for it to sell for much more of course, with a listing for $1,000 to $2,000 not out of the cards. It will be some time before a winner is chosen, so we’ll just need to wait and see.
And if you’re looking to learn more about reselling, you’re on the right website. Make sure you subscribe to our newsletter and stay updated on the latest flips and popular products. We’ll see you on the next one.
