On March 5th, Swatch took to Instagram to announce that a new OMEGA x Swatch offering would be available 2 days later at 4 different locations around the world.

MoonSwatch Gold First Release
On March 7th, 4 retail locations sold the watch for $285. These were located in Zurich, Tokyo, Milan, and London.

Moonshine Gold Swatch For Sale on eBay
In the days following release, many OMEGA x Swatch Moonshine Gold watches were sold on eBay for an average price of around $1,500.

Wider Release
On April 4th, it was announced that there would be another Moonshine Gold release, this time expanded to 14 different locations, included one in NYC.

The second release of the watch happened on April 6th, and consisted of expectedly long lines and large crowds.

Following the watch’s second release, prices slightly dropped on the aftermarket due to increased supply. Even then, the watch remained massively profitable, with sales at or around the $900 mark.
