L.A.B. Golf's Uncrustables Collab is a Hit With Resellers

L.A.B. Golf built the collection around three of its most popular putter shapes: the VZN.1i, DF3i, and OZ.1i. Each one gets a custom purple and blue Cerakote head with a Cerakoted blue stainless steel insert and white weights, plus a custom TPT shaft, custom grip, and high polish aluminum medallions.

Every putter purchase also comes with a grape Uncrustables headcover, an accessory pack with a divot tool and ball marker, custom Uncrustables x L.A.B. packaging, and a coupon for a 15 count carton of actual Uncrustables sandwiches.

L.A.B. built its reputation on Lie Angle Balance technology, a patented design meant to eliminate torque and make putting strokes more repeatable. It’s a serious engineering pitch that the brand doesn’t usually pair with novelty releases. The company was acquired for $200 million last year, and many devout followers predicted this would lead to a cheapening of the brand and an increased focus on profit over innovation. Do these putters mark a prophecy fulfilled?

Maybe. L.A.B.’s standard putter lineup starts well below the $2,000 price point here, so the Uncrustables versions carry a steep premium before resale even enters the picture. Still, it didn’t take long for them to sell out. Only the Uncrustables DF3i is still in stock.

L.A.B. also sold several Uncrustables putter covers separately, alongside clothing and accessories celebrating the collab.

The headcovers are the clearest win right now. They retailed for $100 and are already reselling for around $250, which works out to roughly $116 in profit after eBay’s fees for resellers who moved fast. We’ve also seen a handful of sales at around $100 for divot tools that retailed at $40.

The putters are a tougher read. The VZN.1i sold out first, and the OZ.1i followed shortly after, leaving the DF3i as the only model still available directly from L.A.B. Fast sellouts are usually a good early sign for resale demand, but nobody’s cracked a resale price yet given the $2,000 buy in.

Golfers have a well earned reputation for spending big on gear they love, and the design here is clearly resonating. It wouldn’t be shocking to see these putters eventually flip for a premium, but resellers holding one should be prepared to wait for the right buyer.

These putters are final sale, with no returns, refunds, or cancellations accepted once an order is placed. That’s a real risk at a $2,000 price point.

Anyone buying to flip should be confident they can find a buyer before committing that kind of capital, since there’s no safety net if the resale market doesn’t materialize the way the headcovers already have.

Looking forward, expect more novelty collaborations from L.A.B. Golf. The company is clearly intent to cash in on their success and love from fans, and it looks like whatever gets churned out has a good chance to flip for a profit.
