Iconic Masters Gnomes May Be Discontinued After 2026

Every year since their introduction, Augusta National has released a new, year-specific gnome through the on-site gift shop during tournament week. They retail for $50, they’re only available in person, and they sell out fast. The gift shop during Masters week is a spectacle in its own right, with attendees rushing shelves and stacking merch like it’s a disaster preparedness drill.

That’s actually part of the problem. Augusta National Golf Club is, to put it diplomatically, an organization that takes itself very seriously. The frenzy surrounding gift shop merchandise, and the gnomes in particular, has reportedly grown uncomfortable enough that the club is considering ending production to dial things back.

If it’s true, the 2026 gnome becomes the last of its kind, and the entire run of past gnomes gets a significant collectible bump alongside it. That’s the upside here. The downside is that if the rumors turn out to be wrong, prices could cool off once the hype settles. Buy accordingly.

The Masters tees off this weekend, but pros are already on site for practice rounds, which means attendees are already in the gift shop. The 2026 gnome is actively listing and selling on eBay for around $600, which works out to roughly $470 in profit after eBay’s fees. That’s not bad for a $50 ceramic figure.

For comparison, past gnomes have historically resold for around 10 times retail, right in line with where the 2026 version is trading now. If the discontinuation rumors hold up and demand builds over time, there’s a reasonable case that prices continue to climb. But collectible speculation is exactly that: speculation. If you’re buying a 2026 gnome to hold long-term, you’re making a bet on a rumor, not a confirmed fact.

If you’re attending this week, the gnome should be your first stop in the gift shop. Quantities are limited and they move quickly once the crowds get going.

Can’t make it to Augusta? There’s still a play on the table, though unfortunately it’s already sold out. Taste of the Masters released the Limited Edition Azalea Cocktail Kit online ahead of the tournament for $100. The kit includes the nonalcoholic Azalea cocktail mix along with Masters-branded cups and mixing accessories, making it one of the rare pieces of Masters merchandise available without stepping foot in Georgia.

It sold out, and it’s now reselling for around $300, which comes out to roughly $161 in profit after fees. If you grabbed one before it sold out, it’s a clean flip. If you didn’t, mark your calendar for next April, because this will almost certainly be back.

Of course, the truly lucrative Masters merch is only available at Augusta National itself. The Masters gives non-members the rare opportunity to purchase official ANGC gear, and that consistently results in massive profits for attendees that load up on merch.

The 2026 Masters is sold out, and has been for the better part of a year. But the 2027 lottery window opens in June, and that’s worth knowing now. The process runs roughly three weeks starting June 1, and is free to enter through the official Masters website. Entries are limited to one per household, and winners are notified in July. Tickets run from $125 to $160 at face value and have resold for well into the four figures in past years.
