Key Points

  • Unsigned buckets retailed for $55 on Cudi’s official store and sold out at launch

  • Signed versions were limited to just 100 units total and dropped exclusively through Amazon Music

  • Current resale prices for signed buckets are hitting $300 to $400 on secondary platforms

Kid Cudi just dropped popcorn buckets tied to his vampire short film Neverland, and the signed versions are already selling for $300+ on the secondary market. Only 100 signed buckets were made, turning what looked like standard artist merch into a legitimate collectible flip.

Kid Cudi, Neverland, and Popcorn Buckets

Kid Cudi’s been building toward this release for months. Back in April, he announced Neverland would premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival. The 11-minute horror short reunited him with Ti West, the director behind X where Cudi starred. Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions handled production, bringing serious credentials to what could’ve been just another music video.

The film follows a 200-year-old vampire taking his newly turned girlfriend on her first feeding. Kiernan Shipka, Brittany Snow, Haley Joel Osment, and Cary Elwes round out the cast. Cudi co-wrote the script with West, and the whole thing premiered at Tribeca on June 7 before hitting Amazon Music exclusively.

It’s a clever release. Neverland has been garnering views and attention over the last few months, and this tie-in bucket is positioned to take in easy profits from fans looking for an easy collectible.

If you’ve been following our feed, you’ll know that collectable popcorn buckets are nothing new. We’ve covered tons of profitable releases, from the blockbuster Barbie movie designs to Dune 2’s surprisingly sensual Shai-hulud bucket. Cudi’s take is a remarkably prescient indie design that’s coming onto the market at a perfect time.

The signed buckets are the real story. With only 100 made and distributed exclusively through Amazon Music, supply was intentionally constrained. These aren’t sitting on eBay with dozens of active listings like mass-produced movie buckets. The scarcity is real, not manufactured.

Three factors are driving values. First, the 100-unit cap creates genuine scarcity compared to theater chains ordering tens of thousands of buckets for major releases. Second, Cudi’s positioned himself as a multihyphenate creative with film, fashion, and music credibility. His signature carries weight with collectors who followed his acting career from X to Entergalactic.

Third, the Monkeypaw and Ti West connections matter. Jordan Peele’s production company and Ti West’s horror pedigree give Neverland artistic legitimacy beyond a standard music video. Collectors view this as a piece of film history, not just band merch.

Now What?

Unsigned buckets will likely settle around $100 to $150 if more surface from collectors who bought multiples. Signed buckets could push higher than $300 if Neverland gains cultural traction beyond the festival circuit, though Amazon Music’s exclusive streaming deal limits visibility compared to a theatrical release.

Long-term, Cudi memorabilia has proven staying power. We’ve written about his “Insano” vinyl, and watched as fans forked over hundreds for the collaboration with KAWS. If Cudi continues expanding his film career and Neverland becomes a cult favorite in horror circles, this bucket positions as an early artifact from his directorial pursuits.

The risk: if Neverland fails to gain traction, the bucket loses its narrative. The 100-unit limitation protects downside, but speculative buyers at $300+ are banking on continued interest. Condition matters with vinyl materials, and storage is a consideration at 24 inches around.

The signed buckets at $300+ represent a bet on Cudi’s continued crossover success and the collectible bucket market’s momentum. The 100-unit cap and Monkeypaw/Ti West pedigree justify current prices for serious collectors. If you copped at retail, holding makes sense given the scarcity.
