Melanie Martinez Restocked Her Cry Baby Perfume Milk (Again)

A little backstory first. We’re not getting super deep in the weeds, so check out our article from August if you want all the backstory.

Shortly after the release of her seminal album “Cry Baby”, Melanie Martinez spun up a limited run of Cry Baby Perfume Milk bottles for fans. These were priced at $50 and sold out pretty fast in 2016.

The manufacturer went out of business afterwards, and the Perfume Milk never restocked. For ten years, the dwindling supply became a grail among Martinez’ fans, with sealed bottles flipping for up to $2,000 by 2024.

In 2023, Martinez formed her own perfume company: Portals Parfums, and dropped a new collection to coincide with a new album. Finally, the original Cry Baby Perfume Milk restocked in August 2025.

This restock brought resale prices down significantly. While bottles were still moving for $400 to $600 initially, that was less than half the pre-restock values. Now she’s restocked the perfume for a second time within six months of the last release. It looks the age of these bottles being ultra-rare collectibles is over.

If you’re interested, you can preorder a bottle through Portals Parfums right now. At $175 retail with a strict no returns, no refunds policy, you’re looking at significant risk if these don’t flip. That’s $175 you can’t get back if the market gets flooded or demand doesn’t materialize.

The one safety net is Portals’ cancellation policy. According to their refund policy, orders can be cancelled before shipping for a full refund. Since these ship in mid-November, you’ve got time to watch how the market reacts and bail if things look bad.

The resale market for this perfume isn’t what it used to be. Two major restocks in one year means collectors who desperately wanted one probably got one in August. The second wave is hitting a much smaller pool of buyers.

Could you still make $100 to $200 per bottle if these sell out? Maybe. But that’s a big if at this price point with this much new supply.

This might still work for dedicated Melanie Martinez collectors or resellers with established audiences in that niche. If you’ve got buyers lined up who missed the August drop, there’s still a play here.

But for most resellers doing retail arbitrage or general flipping, the risk-reward ratio isn’t great. You’re tying up $175 per bottle with zero refund protection for what could be modest profits at best.

The Cry Baby Perfume Milk isn’t the same opportunity it was when bottles were impossible to find. Scarcity drove those insane prices, and that scarcity is gone now. Two restocks in one year fundamentally changes what this product is worth.

If you’re going to buy, use that cancellation window wisely. Watch the secondary market closely as November approaches. If prices stay strong, great. If they start dropping, cancel before these ship and you’re locked in.

For most resellers, this is probably a pass. The profit potential doesn’t justify the risk when you’re dealing with final sale items at this price point.
