The Dodgers will hold One Piece Night on July 3
Special merch will be available, including a Dodgers Luffy card
Tickets start at $100, with early card sales coming in for $350+
Calling all One Piece fans and resellers in the LA area: here’s your chance to snag something truly collectable. The LA Dodgers will be holding One Piece Night on July 3rd, and handing out special Dodgers X Luffy One Piece trading cards during the event. These will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We’re already seeing these listed for sale online, and its looking like flipping one will more than pay for your tickets. Let’s get into it.
It’s easy to hate the Dodgers. It’s not enough for them to curbstomp the NL West every year, but they also have to snag premier talent like Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman.
And it seems like they get all the best promotional deals. The Dodgers are big in Japan, and have signed crossover deals with brands like Hello Kitty and Murakami, and they’ve just confirmed they’ll be holding One Piece Night next month.
@dodgers ONE PIECE Night is coming to Dodger Stadium on 7/3! 🔥 #dodgers #sports #losangeles #onepiece #anime
On July 3rd, attendees to the Dodgers game against the White Sox will be able to participate in a variety of One Piece-themed attractions, including free straw hats for the first 40,000 through the gates and a special drone show after the game.
But by far the most anticipated part of One Piece Night is the Dodgers X Luffy promotional trading card. These are a special alternate art card for the One Piece TCG featuring Luffy in a Dodgers uniform throwing a pitch.
It’s not clear how many of these cards will be distributed, but they do seem pretty limited. To get a One Piece Dodgers Luffy card, you’ll need to visit a specially marked One Piece distribution center during the game. They will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis until they run out of cards.
Unlike other promotional events, you do not need a special ticket to participate in the Dodgers’ One Piece Night or receive any of the merch. Tickets are on sale right now, starting at $100 for a standard nosebleed. If you’re in the LA area, seriously consider attending this game.
Whether you’re a One Piece fan that likes baseball or you just want to a make a little cash, One Piece Night is looking very exciting for everyone involved. We’ve seen merch from several MLB promotions resell for well over the ticket price, and this is looking like the next.
In fact, even though this event is still a month out, we’re seeing resellers make presale listings for the cards. More impressively, many of these Dodgers Luffy cards have already sold for over $350.
That’s a pretty solid price floor, and it means that if you buy the cheapest tickets for this game and snag a card, you’ll actually turn a profit by attending this Dodgers game.
Free baseball is good, profitable baseball is even better. Bring some friends and grab as many cards as you can.
