Signed “No Lessons Learned” books sold online for $45
Larry David’s autograph is rare and very collectable
Resellers have flipped the book for over $500
If you’ve got space on your coffee table and a few hundred bucks in your wallet, Larry David has a book for you. The cast and crew behind Curb Your Enthusiasm have come together to create an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the making of one of TV’s longest running shows. A small number of copies were sold with Larry David’s notoriously rare autograph, and they’ve already reappeared on eBay for more than ten times what they retailed for.
After 24 years, 12 seasons, several cast deaths, and too many awkward moments to count, Curb Your Enthusiasm officially wrapped production last year.
Along the way, the brains behind the show have penned enough Larry-isms and inside jokes to fill an encyclopedia. We mean that literally, because the official behind-the-scenes book “No Lessons Learned: The Making of Curb Your Enthusiasm” releases later this year.
Fans will be treated to 320 pages spanning the show’s historic run, including a glossary of David’s idiosyncrasies, Leon Black’s guide to romance, a marked map of Los Angeles, and an overview of the show’s numerous star cameos (RIP Bob Einstein)
The book is a collaborative effort between Larry David, Jeff Schafer, and Laura Streicher, along with members of HBO’s producer corps and other crewmembers. It’s set for release in October 2025, and preorder copies are available now.
In addition to the standard book, a (very) limited number of “No Lessons Learned” books were sold with Larry David’s signature. This is a big deal for fans, as his autograph is not easy to come buy. Larry David signed merch commonly flips for hundreds of dollars on eBay, so any new signatures are worth paying attention to.
Signed copies of “No Lessons Learned” were sold for $45 through Premiere Collectibles. David’s signature is on an separate bookplate included with the purchase, along with a certificate of authenticity.
Like we said, it’s not easy to find Larry David’s signature. Autographed merch frequently flips for well above its retail price, and these books are no exception.
We’ve only seen one confirmed aftermarket sale for a signed “No Lessons Learned” copy, but that book flipped for $550. That’s more than ten times what it retailed for.
These copies sold out on April 24, so it’s still early. We’re expecting to see more listings, more sales, and more triple digit profits in the coming weeks.
As of this publication, all of the Larry David signed “No Lessons Learned” signed books are sold out through Premiere Collectibles. Autographed items are inherently limited, and it’s not surprising to see them sell out within minutes of release.
But there’s still plenty of time left before the book launches in October. It’s entirely possible David may partner with other distributors for more batches of signed books. If that happens, we strongly recommend buying as many copies as you can.
And if you want the inside edge on this flip and many more, it’s time to join RC Elite. Members were alerted to this opportunity early and were able to score books before they sold out.
