The final sale for YuGiOh’s Stainless Steel Egyptian Gods is tomorrow
Each set includes a super-rare Black Luster Soldier card
The sets themselves aren’t very profitable, but BLS cards resell for up to $1,000
Looking to score some new cards for YuGiOh deck? How about cash for your wallet? The final run of YuGiOh’s coveted Stainless Steel Egyptian God cards will release online tomorrow morning. These have flipped for hundreds of dollars and the past, and this exclusive final release will also ship with highly limited Black Luster Soldier promo cards. This is an incredible opportunity for any reseller, so set an alarm and get your credit card ready.
There’s all kinds of TCGs out there, and most of them are popular with resellers. We don’t need to tell you that there’s money to be made flipping Pokemon cards, Magic: The Gathering, or even Divorced Dads (yes that last one is real.)
YuGiOh isn’t usually on the list for profitable flips. The game is generally less popular than comparable TCGs, and the most popular YuGiOh cards are usually printed and reprinted in high enough numbers to stave off resellers.
But there are exceptions to that rule. YuGiOh Stainless Steel cards are collector-oriented versions of popular cards, and they retail for very high prices. The Egyptian Gods Stainless Steel set was first revealed in December 2023, and is getting one last production run.
Tomorrow, April 17, new Stainless Steel YuGiOh Egyptian Gods cards will release. No official MSRP has been posted, but the previous run retailed for $400.
Resellers have had some success flipping these, but the steep price has kept these from being very profitable. However, tomorrow’s drop has a very lucrative sweetener.
Every Stainless Steel Egyptian Gods set sold tomorrow will ship with an ultra-rare Black Luster Soldier card. Previously, these were only available through a raffle and limited to 3,000 units.
The announcement is drawing some ire from YuGiOh fans, who are upset that a previously limited card is suddenly making a reappearance. That said, it’s worth noting the verbiage for the original raffle said that 2,000 cards would be up for grabs, indicating that tomorrow’s drop will consist of the final 1,000.
Or maybe YuGiOh just felt like printing more cards and making more money. Who can blame them?
And if you want to stick your fingers in that pot of money, tomorrow’s drop is definitely worth your attention. Like we said, the sets themselves aren’t terribly lucrative, but bundled together with the Black Luster Soldier cards, the real profits begin to show.
Right now, YuGiOh Stainless Steel Egyptian God sets are reselling for around $330, while Black Luster Soldier cards have flipped for upwards of $500. Highly-graded cards have even sold for up to $1,000.
The math is pretty simple. Buy tomorrow’s drop, flip the Stainless Steel cards at MSRP or slightly below, and make your money from the Black Luster Soldier. Depending on what you sell them for, you’re looking at profits of $400 to $900 from a single item.
Tomorrow’s drop will be available through the official YuGiOh online store, and open to US, UK, and EU customers. No official time has been listed, so we recommend signing up for stock notifications directly through their website.
Again, no stock numbers or prices have been confirmed. They will likely be sold for $400 and limited to 1,000 units, but we won’t know for sure until after the drop. Don’t sit this one out!
