Casio’s 50th Anniversary Ring Watch is $120 and highly limited
They first sold in December, but some retailers held onto their allocations
They are still reselling for around $350 in 2025
Back in December, Casio unveiled their CRW001-1 Ring Watch as an homage to the company’s history. These were massively popular and sold out faster than anyone expected. Resellers were quick to jump on the opportunity and regularly flipped these gadgets for over $300 at a time. They’ve been out of circulation since, but a small number recently went up for sale through Drift House. If you were aware of this drop, it was your chance to make some decent money with minimal effort. Let’s get into it.
So, is it a ring? Or a watch? Well, both. The Casio CRW001-1 Ring Watch is a fully functional timekeeper small enough to be worn directly on your finger.
The design is a throwback to the company’s origins. Tadao Kashio began his career in fabrication in 1946, and his first commercial success was the “yubiwa” pipe. These were small cigarette holders mounted a ring, so the user could smoke while retaining use of all their fingers.
From there, Kashio Seisajuko would become known as Casio, and the firm diversified into a wide range of products. Musical instruments, computers, cameras, and of course, watches. Casio first stepped into horology in 1974, making 2024 their 50th anniversary for watches.
The CRW001-1 Ring Watch is Casio’s celebration of their unique, diverse history. Its design is largely based on their brand-defining G-SHOCK. The same functionality is present here, just crammed down into a case small enough to mount on a finger.
Casio first sold their 50th Anniversary Ring Watches in December 2024. These were kind of a left field product, and intended as a playful nod to the company’s history. Only a limited number were produced, and the consumer response was staggering.
All of the available Casio Ring Watches sold out fast, and quickly became a favorite among resellers. The Casio 50th Anniversary Ring Watch was only $120, but we were regularly seeing sales for more than $300 within a few hours of release.
Fortunately, not all of the Casio Ring Watches were released. These were a limited edition product, but a decent number of them were acquired by Drift House. They chose to hold on to their allocation, and only put theirs up for sale this month.
Drift House sold their Casio Ring Watches through a raffle. Buyers could enter online through their website or in person at their store in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Entry was free but limited to one per person, and winners would be able to purchase their Casio Ring Watch for the MSRP of $120.
The raffle closed on Monday, and winners had until Wednesday to complete their purchase. Once again, this drop was enormously popular. Drift House made the right move to go with a raffle, and all of their entries were taken up very quickly.
Just like the first run, this restock has been a major hit with collectors and resellers. Once Drift House’s raffle closed, we saw a raft of new eBay listings for the Casio CRW001-1.
Right now, 50th Anniversary Casio Ring Watches are reselling for around $350 at a time. We’ve seen some sales creep past the $400 mark, meaning resellers are more than tripling their money on each sale.
And even an average sale represents more than $200 in profit from a single item. Getting one wasn’t easy, sure, but with a little luck and advanced knowledge, anyone had a shot at getting on this flip.
