Walmart is selling a toaster designed to look like an Xbox Series S
The $40 toasters leave an Xbox logo in the toast
Resellers are flipping them for $80+
Rise up gamers. It’s time to make breakfast, and make it bitchin’. Microsoft has started selling toasters designed to look like the Xbox Series S. Obviously, such an innovative product is proving massively popular, and the toasters are selling out everywhere. Resellers have stepped in and begun to flip them for a profit as well.
So we all remember back when the Xbox Series X was first announced right? The common joke was that it looked like a fridge, and Microsoft ended up rolling with the joke.
They produced a one-off full size fridge and also a line of minifridges sold through Walmart. Gamers found this hilarious, and the Xbox fridges sold very well. Resellers were able to make a few bucks by flipping them to gamers.
Now Microsoft is headed back to the kitchen. They’re producing toasters designed to look like a white Xbox Series S. Like the fridges, these are a Walmart exclusive.
Better yet, the Xbox toaster actually imprints the Xbox logo into the toast. Finally, gamers across the country can have a healthy, balanced breakfast that supports their hobbies. Just pop some bread in the toaster, crack open a Rockstar, and you’re on your way towards a great day.
The Xbox toaster costs $40, similar to the minifridges. Specwise, it’s pretty standard for a toaster. 6 degrees of toasting, a digital timer, and also bagel and defrost options. If you’re in the market for a premium toaster, this is about as good as you can get.
While these were not nearly as hyped as the Xbox minifridges, the toasters are still proving popular. Xbox toasters were first sold on January 4, and would sell out pretty fast. Since then, they’ve restocked several times through Walmart’s website, and have continued to sell out.
And when you have a sold out item, especially one with meme potential, resellers get involved. While this drop was on the radar, it wasn’t until the toasters started selling out that resellers really started to pay attention.
If you were quick enough and paid attention to restock alerts, this wasn’t a hard item to buy. Right now, Xbox Series S toasters are reselling for $80 to $100. Sales volume on eBay is fairly low, but then again these have only been out for a few days.
$40 in profit is not bad at all, and these are not a difficult buy. Our advice is to continue monitoring for restocks, and don’t hesitate to buy. Walmart’s return policy means you can easily get a refund if they brick, so there’s little risk in buying.
