New Pet Simulator X plushes are going live tomorrow morning
They cost $250 and include codes for in-game items
Previous plushes have resold for $750 to $2,000
Got plans for tomorrow? While most of the partying probably happened last weekend, we’ve still got a little over a day of October left. If you have some free time tomorrow morning, we have a flip you’ve got to see. BIG Games are dropping a pair of new Titanic plushes based on their Roblox game Pet Simulator X. In the past, Titanic plushes have been some of the most lucrative flips a reseller can get.
Ok, wait, hold on a second. Roblox plushes? These resell?
Yes. Yes they do. Evidently there are a lot of kids out there with deep pockets, or at least they know the digits to their parents’ credit cards.
We’ve written about previous Pet Simulator X Titanic plushes on this blog, and we’ve found them to be incredible opportunities. It’s not unusual to see them resell for hundreds, even thousands of dollars.
Part of the reason these plushes are so popular is their integration within Pet Simulator X. They come with codes to let owners redeem special in-game pets that are either very rare or otherwise unobtainable.
In fact, plushes that don’t include the code for their in-game pets will resell for a significantly reduced price. As in, $300 to $500 less than the others.
So now that you understand why we’re so interested in overpriced stuffed toys produced for a Roblox game, let’s take a look at how you can get in on the action.
Tomorrow, BIG Games are releasing two new Titanic plushes exclusively through their website. They are are the Titanic Shadow Griffin, and the Titanic Scary Corgi. Spooky!
Both include a small “baby” version along with the Titanic plush. The Pet Simulator X Halloween Titanic plushes cost $250, the same price as most other Titanic plushes. They are set to go live at 9 A.M. Pacific on October 31.
Based on previous drops, we’re expecting this to be both extremely limited and very popular. Demand for these plushes and the in-game pets they come with is almost unbelievable, and they will sell out in minutes.
One thing to note about these is that the codes for in-game pets will be “redeemable in new game”. While BIG Games hasn’t quite confirmed a sequel to Pet Sim X, they’ve pretty openly hinted that something is in the works.
Other rare pets and in-game items are confirmed to carry over between games, and the pets that come with these plushes will as well. It’s not clear if that means the pets can only be redeemed in the new game and not Pet Simulator X, but that seems unlikely.
Considering how popular previous Pet Simulator X Titanic plushes have been in the past, it seems pretty likely that this drop will also sell out.
It’s hard to estimate a price without knowing the production. The plushes that have sold for the most are extremely limited. The Hippomelon Titanic plush, for example, was limited to just 75 total units. Average sales for these were upwards of $2,000.
The Halloween plushes will likely not be so rare. In February BIG Games sold red and blue Titanic balloon plushes that were limited to 1,000 each. Tomorrow’s drop will probably be closer to these kinds of numbers. Titanic Balloon plushes were reselling for around $750 after release.
Basically, if you like money, you should probably buy these. Previous plushes have resold immediately after they drop, typically for the highest prices. The in-game pets included with the plushes will be the most popular as soon as they are available. FOMO is a reseller’s best friend.
