Starbucks is released a limited edition Nightmare Before Christmas tumbler
These tumblers will be sold through ShopDisney, prices are yet to be confirmed
Expect them to sell out and resell
Edit: ShopDisney has confirmed their Nightmare Before Christmas tumblers will drop on September 29
Everyone loves “The Nightmare Before Christmas” right? Tim Burton’s 1993 hybrid Halloween-Christmas movie has become an enduring part of pop culture, and remains relevant even thirty years later. Around the same time as the film’s release, Starbucks was beginning its evolution from a local Seattle coffee chain to a national powerhouse. Now we can finally celebrate these two IPs properly, with an official Nightmare Before Christmas tumbler produced by Starbucks. Naturally, resellers are already looking at this collaboration.
It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas, or Halloween, for that matter. This is always a profitable season for resellers, and there have been a ton of great flips in the last few weeks. Now we’re taking a look at another one.
On September 25, a Starbucks Nightmare Before Christmas tumbler will be dropping through the ShopDisney website. Details on it are pretty slim, and it’s yet to be officially confirmed. From the images we’ve seen, it looks to be a 20 oz tumbler (that’s a venti, to the uninitiated) decorated with characters from the film.
A price also hasn’t been released. We’re anticipating the Starbucks Nightmare Before Christmas tumbler to cost somewhere between $35 and $50, based on previous branded tumblers.
Of course, we’re not just keeping our eyes on these tumblers because we’re big Tim Burton fans. When big brands and IPs like these meet, the results tend to sell out. That creates the perfect conditions for resellers to control the market and make some profit.
Earlier this month, we covered the arrival of Starbucks seasonal Halloween tumblers and mugs. These are produced in pretty wide numbers and available at both Target and Starbucks locations, yet many of these cups are reselling.

The upcoming Nightmare Before Christmas tumblers will be sold exclusively through ShopDisney, which seems to indicate supplies will be at least somewhat limited. We’re expecting these tumblers to sell out the same day they’re released, and will likely resell. Even if they restock later down the line, it’s an opportunity to make a little money flipping them to impatient people.
