WAGMI Miami is running from Jan 22nd – 24th during Miami Blockchain Week
GA Tickets cost $1250 and VIP are $6000
No immediate profits, but the networking could be priceless
We’ve got another local opportunity that we want to alert our readers to. If you’ll be in the Miami area this week, you have a chance to rub elbows with some of the biggest degenerates and thought leaders in the crypto space. This is the perfect way to kick off the new year as crypto continues its historic bullrun. We’ll go over all the details, cover price points, tickets, and some of the discussions that will kick off on Wednesday. Let’s get into it.
WAGMI – We’re All Gonna Make it
A phrase commonly used to express a positive sentiment in spite of market volatility. It’s a belief that blockchain technology is here to stay and will find its natural place in society.
Founder and crypto pioneer Moe Levin, adopted the phrase to rebrand The North American Bitcoin Conference into what is known today as WAGMI Miami.
Since 2020, Miami Blockchain Week has provided the crypto community with a place to network, learn, and collaborate with an ambiance you won’t find elsewhere in the US.
There are plenty of meetups and satellite events in Miami throughout the week from various organizers; some informative, some just riding the hype train to get more people in the door.
Miami Blockchain week officially kicks off January 20th, so even if you don’t want to drop $1250 to attend WAGMI Miami, you’ll still see plenty of crypto bros in the area.
Don’t be shy, make some new friends. It’s the perfect place for you trench warriors to catch some sun, touch some grass and compare war stories, all while keeping your finger on the pulse. At very least it’s a great opportunity to step away from the charts, if only for a few hours. You can check out some featured events here.
WAGMI Miami at the James L. Knight Center is the main event of Miami Blockchain Week.
If you’re in the area January 22nd – 24th, it may be worth attending to get an in person look at what’s to come. You’ll also be in the company of some of the biggest executives in the industry, so don’t forget your pitch deck.
Worth mentioning that there is a chance for students to claim free tickets to WAGMI Miami by filling out this form, but there isn’t much information on what the criteria is or how selections are made. The event starts this week so it’s possible all allocations to students have already been made.
According to the WAGMI.MIAMI website, tickets are 97% sold out and prices will increase after today.
While most of the surrounding events during Miami Blockchain week are free, the WAGMI experience is what will cost you, and this is what you get with the GA vs VIP:
Wagmi sponsored events will follow each day of the conference, and VIP Admission at $6000 includes a few extras GA won’t access. You can buy tickets here.
In years past, Wagmi Miami, formerly The North American Bitcoin Conference, has hosted the likes of Vitalik Buterin (Ethereum), Changpeng Zhao (Binance), and Mark Cuban who needs no introduction.
This year’s speakers are highlighted by Pudgy Penguins Founder Luca Netz discussing “The Rise of the Most Important NFT Project Ever,” as well as Paolo Ardoino (Tether + Bitfinex) and panels of top industry executives discussing future trends and applications.
Topics to watch include Tokenization & AI applications, but they’ll be covering a wide array of problems and solutions to the scalability of these new technologies.
Wednesday, Jan 22 at 6pm is the WAGMI Kickoff Celebration.
The conference will run from 9:30am to 5:30pm January 23 & 24, here are some talks that caught our eye.
