US Mint Rolls Out Limited Edition 4th of July Quarters

The US Mint announced it will produce 250,000 Declaration of Independence quarters with a special July 4th privy mark, timed to land in circulation around the holiday. The reverse shows the Liberty Bell, and these carry no mint mark, which makes them easy to spot once you know the design.

The Mint is shipping them to banks nationwide, shuffled in with the standard run of 2026 Declaration of Independence quarters already circulating. We covered a similar play back in March, when collectors paid real money for 2026-dated nickels and quarters pulled from bank rolls, and that demand has only grown as the anniversary approaches.

There’s no purchasing mechanism here, no presale, and no way to order a roll containing these specifically. They get mixed in randomly, so finding one comes down to volume and luck. For most people, the realistic move is just paying attention to your quarters before you spend them.

We don’t know exactly what these will resell for since there’s no established secondary market yet, but a coin this scarce should clear well above face value.
