Rimowa is Selling a $6,000 Dartboard

The Dartboard Case is built at RIMOWA’s Cologne headquarters and uses the brand’s signature grooved anodized aluminum in a double-door cabinet, complete with engraved rivets, a leather handle, and custom locks.

Inside is a co-branded Winmau Blade X, the same board used as the main-stage equipment on the Professional Darts Corporation tour, along with two RIMOWA-branded dart sets and a leather accessory pouch. Winmau has made dartboards since 1945 and remains one of the most respected names in competitive darts, so the equipment inside is not a novelty prop riding on RIMOWA’s logo.

This isn’t RIMOWA’s first swing at this playbook. The brand has previously partnered with brands like Tiffany, Porsche, and even Pokemon to produce off-the-wall collabs for people to celebrate or complain about.

And yes, that price is real. For $6,300, it should at least include a date with Walton Goggins.

Here’s the part that matters for anyone thinking about flipping one. eBay’s 13.6% fee on a $6,300 sale works out to about $857, meaning a reseller would need to land north of $7,150 just to break even, before shipping a wall-mounted aluminum cabinet, which is its own logistical headache. Since this hasn’t sold out anywhere yet, there are no verified sold comps to point to. Whether buyers will actually pay a meaningful premium over retail for a dartboard is unproven.

If you throw in the fact that this is almost certainly a final sale item and that your ideal buyer is probably on a yacht or torturing migrant workers in some Dubai shithole right now, it makes for a fairly dicey flip. But, we always leave those decisions up to you. Just go in with your eyes open.
